I usually stay at contemporary decor hotels, but I did a Priceline bid and paid $180,so no complaints for a 3.5 star in NYC .i thought it would be real stuffy, but was pleasantly surprised. Hate towel racks in proximity of toilet, but bed was comfy and place was quiet even on 3rdfloor facing street. Good value even if I had to pay... More

Was there for a conference. Although the conference facilities were good, the rooms are really getting quite tired, and the friendliness (or lack thereof) of front desk staff is surely not suited for such a historical hotel. Definitely one of the least favourite hotel I have stayed in the city.

It's a great hotel in perfect location. Just a few blocks from Times Square and Central Park. The Lobby is impressive and the rooms are big, clean and comfortable. Most importantly, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The Front Desk Agent, Malika was really nice when I checked in, very patient and helpful. I work at another hotel and... More

Pros: We had a terrific four night stay at the Roosevelt Hotel, great location within walking distance of everything, , service was great, the staff was very helpful and friendly, a very clean hotel, we would absolutely stay there again. Cons: No free wifi, not even internet access on the house computers in the lobby, cable TV quality was poor... More

My husband has traveled regularly to NYC for many years. He ended up staying here when he was booked into a conference at this hotel. Rooms are extremely small, barely bigger than queen size bed. Very small desk with desk chair was the only chair in the room. No room for a chair to relax and get comfortable in -... More

This is intended for the GM, Mr Trovato some rectification may come of it all. well we arrived at midnight after a tortureous flight from Sydney - some nearly 24 hours. Tired we checked in with an unfriendly and rude girl. No one assisted us with our bags or bothered about anything. We discovered that the safe did not work... More

What a beautiful place to stay! Entering the hotel for the first time and seeing the lobby that has been beautifully restored to its former 1920's glory was just a sheer delight. This really set the tone of the rest of our stay in what I can only describe as a fantastic hotel. All of the staff that we encountered... More

In the middle of it all. The Roosevelt offers one of, if not the largest room we have ever had while staying in the city. Beautiful grand lobby and great room service. Our stay was short but very enjoyable. The only weakness was the maid staff a bit rude. Everyone else was wonderful.

I stayed at the Roosevelt Hotel from the 10th October till the 20th October 2012! What a wonderful experience! This was our second stay in the Roosevelt, which is nicely located in midtown. On the first occasion the room was fine, everything worked, and we had what I thought to be a "normal" room...i.e. the room had a dresser so that we could unpack. On our second visit (Nov, 2012), I found out how wrong one can be. Humbling.... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
