We loved the Hotel Giraffe. Everything was clean and cute! The staff were very friendly and helpful! The lobby area was really welcoming with a continental breakfast (yummy scones!), cappuccino maker, fruits and juice. After breakfast packaged snacks and waters as well as coffee, etc. is available throughout the day. Our room had a balcony which was absolutely adorable with chairs and plants. There was a motorized screen that blocked the entire balcony window area so that the room was dark for sleeping.
My wife and i have been staying at the Giraffe over the last 15 years and can say you will not find a cleaner better managed hotel in NY. The staff is extremely helpful and all the rooms a very comfortable size. The location is great with public transportation in all directions close by. It's an easy walk down to the Village and Soho or up to Central Park and is surrounded by many very good restaurants. I recommend checking it out.
I stayed here with my mother and daughters and it was great. We booked a 2 bedroom suite and it was perfect! it was so nice to have the extra sitting room. The rooms are nice size and candidly, we could have all stayed in one 2bedroom queen room. The staff was great, very attentive and helpful. It is a very quiet hotel, the added amenities were a really nice touch, especially the all day coffee! I liked the location; preferring this area to mid town. It was very close to the east River for running, which was an added bonus. The mexican place next door, pizza place a couple doors down, and sarabeth's on the same block are all great and close by. We will definitely stay again.
I stayed with two friends at Hotel Giraffe for three nights and have decided it will be my "go to" NYC hotel from here on out. The hotel is well located in a nice part of the city with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. The staff is AMAZING. Each and every person we encountered was polite and proactive, going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. We stayed in a king suite for two nights and a double queen room for the third night and both rooms were VERY spacious for NYC and extremely well appointed. The hotel has valet parking (which is convenient if you are driving into the city) as well as a great restaurant (Bread and Tulips) which also provides room service. We had a delicious meal delivered to the room for dinner one night. The waters and small snacks in the lobby are an additional bonus!…
I visited NYC for a couple of days. I heard about Hotel Giraffe as a unique boutique hotel when it opened. I wanted to stay there but I didn't because I was living in NYC at that time. I moved out of the city about 4 years ago. At the end of August the opportunity came. I needed to visit NYC for a few days. I chose Hotel Giraffe without any hesitation. I didn't regret it. The location is excellent. This is the place to stay to explore NYC. You can walk to almost anywhere in Manhattan. I walked to the High line, MOMA, Union square green market, the upper east and west side to meet old friends and of course to Madison square park. The hotel was very quiest. The room was clean and cozy. The staff was very nice. I would definitely stay again.
We stayed at Hotel Giraffe while we were in NYC for the US open. The hotel was clean and attractive. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. We loved that there was lemon water and coffee/tea and snacks available all day long at no extra charge. Gabriella was particularly attentive and friendly during the breakfast service each morning in the lobby. We would definitely stay here again.
We have stayed here several times and it has now become our “go to” hotel when visiting the City. The staff is so personable and try meet every request given. Rooms are superior, very clean , with great continental breakfast. Hope their happy hour returns soon!
Love this place!! Location, service, room size, rooftop, cold AC, and good water pressure in showers! Definitely recommend! The snacks in the lobby are a nice touch. Keurig in room and robes in closet. We will be back!
I’ve stayed at the Giraffe several times over the years. Booked at another hotel this last trip and was very unhappy. I’m not easily made unhappy, have a pretty open-minded attitude, but made the decision to jump to the Giraffe after one night at other hotel. So glad I did. Ended up with a wonderful room with a fabulous view. I really like the balconies available at this hotel, not for sitting but fabulous for seeing New York and enjoying the sounds of the city. The staff was amazing, worked with me on a last second reservation. Lobby is very nice and hosts a continental breakfast in the a.m. I also love the location of this hotel in the Flatiron area. I’m a huge NYC architecture fan and this hotel is close to some fabulous buildings. Good restaurants nearby as well as Madison Square Park. This is very good choice for your NYC visit.…
We stayed at the Hotel Giraffe in mid-June, 2022. We’d lived in NYC for nearly 20 years before being transferred to Washington DC. The Giraffe was ALWAYS my go to recommendation to out-of-town business clients for accommodation while in NYC. We'd even treated ourselves to a relaxing "staycation" at the hotel on a number of occasions. It is located in a fun but relatively quiet neighborhood on Park Avenue South near Madison Square Park. Close to the subway and many good restaurants (I recommend l’Express and Sarabeth’s.) We’d decided to spend our anniversary weekend in NYC to attend a concert at the City Winery and splurge on two nights at The Giraffe. As we’d not been back for an overnight stay in Manhattan since before the Pandemic, we were slightly apprehensive as to how the lengthy shutdowns had affected hotel service. We needn’t have worried, at least in the case of The Giraffe. There were a few minor hiccups but after emailing the hotel with my concerns, Front Office Manager Rob contacted me IMMEDIATELY to set everything right. He even gave us a substantial discount our second night’s stay which was not necessary but a very happy indicator of how seriously he took our concerns and potential return business. As a result, we will be back for another weekend in mid-October and The Giraffe will be our first choice for accommodation. …
