This is all you need in NYC, we were travelling with a young baby so being in Manhattan was more convenient for us. We got a super good deal and didn't expect much from this place. Let me tell you I was wrong, from the time we pulled up in front of the Hotel to the staff at the reception,... More

It was a great find for a cheap stay. I had to spend 2 days in the city with my grandparents, so rather than spending so much money on the hotel we tought of using it for our meals instead. This was a good find in you plan not to be at the hotel and just go and sleep at... More

I enjoyed my two-night stay this past weekend. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and surprisingly modern, although they were tiny and the walls were a bit thin. You can't beat the price for the location--walking out to Central Park in the morning for a run and being two blocks from a subway stop were major pluses.

Besides the grate location the are no other pros.. Cons: - old furniture, cranked and wobbly bathroom tiles, no view (#202) - on arrival@3am they gave us a used room, had lots of ordered food recipients... gave a very weird feeling. Had to switch rooms. Clean towels. Clean bed.

Housing plans in NYC changed last minute leaving us stranded for a place. It's not totally fancy and what not- it was small generally clean and cozy. Astor on the park was a great cheap last minute fix for my roommate and I as we explored NYC. It's located directly across from the upper east corner or Central Park. There's... More

We had a great time staying at this hotel, what a lovely location. Arrived somewhat apprehensive after reading some poor reviews here and on Google, however we were pleasantly surprised. It was clean, comfortable and the staff were lovely. Yes, the room was small but the bathroom clean and modern. There are some great eating locations on Columbus and Amsterdam... More

Wonderful location right across from Central Park. Amazingly affordable, so I was a bit apprehensive, but the staff is very courteous, the hallway as well as the room was spotless, and it was nice and quiet. I met a number of young 20-somethings in the elevator during my stay. They came from as far away as Australia and some nice... More

This hotel got the job done. Granted, we only stayed to shower and sleep. The rooms were small but the bed was comfortable. The shower was hot and had enough room to move. We had enough towels. The place was right next to central park in a very clean and family friendly area. It is closer to uptown not within... More

Stayed here two nights with my partner. Small comfortable rooms, nice bathroom and good ish location in upper manhattan. Times square is walking distance etc. The staff were friendly and let us check in early. Would stay again.

Shabby reception area so poor first impression although receptionist and "doorman" helpful. Tiny lift and narrow staircase. Corridor to room very dingy and tired looking. Room very small. No view except of brick wall and other Windows! Air conditioning on windowsill but couldn't use it as had to keep the curtain shut. Could not get the shower to work, although... More
