Hotel is all about location as it’s central to all and transportation was super easy. The staff was amazing huge shout out to Frank who helped us with all our needs rides, travel tips and recommendations. Front desk even put a fridge in our room and we loved the coffee station on the mezzanine level open 24/7. This is truly a great location for all things Broadway as it’s across from Bryant park and was a 10 min bus ride from Central Park.

The best feature is definitely the strategic location, it allows you to reach almost all the most interesting sites thanks to the nearby metro station. The structure is old, with only one working elevator, which makes it difficult especially at times of greater movement its use, with waits of up to 10 min. Useful mezzanine with coffee machine, hot drinks and water at will. Clean enough by American standards in hotels of the same category. The room without any view outside and with very dirty glass outside, artificial light is needed. Note of credit to Frank employed all do, finds solutions and is nice and helpful!

Good room size, temperature control, mattress comfort. We stay here because of perfect location for us and the loyalty program. But I hate hate HATE the standard Marriott showers because all the tubs are round on the bottom like a canoe--no flat surface to stand on. No reading lights for reading in bed. In this property one of two elevators was out of service so very long waits. No valet parking so you have to drive yourself to a garage two blocks away, although it is discounted with validated ticket. Overall I don't think this is a property that Marriott should be proud of. On the good side, the concierge was amiable and efficient in temporarily storing our luggage.

Exceptional location and hospitality! Eddie and Willie took such care explaining where to park to receive hotel discount, ensuring we were comfortable and had all we needed. Every time they saw us walking through the lobby, they flashed their huge smiles, making us feel welcomed. The housekeeper on our floor 11th on Th 8/15 at approx. 1:30pm was also very welcoming offering extra towels and making herself available should we need anything at all. I regret not asking her name. Driving almost 5 hours from the Cape to NYC left me a bit frazzled. Eddie, Willie and the lovely housekeeper on the 11th floor made me exhale in relief. I was among warm and caring professionals. The room, which was reserved by the incomparable Joseph Marquez was just perfect. It was a last minute trip. The room had 2 double beds which were most comfortable. I was surprised that a NYC hotel room in the middle of all it's hustle and bustle could afford us such a peaceful nights sleep. Thank you to the team! We will be back!

Doesn’t meet Marriott standards.
Downside: Room was old and in disrepair (missing towel rack with toilet paper shoved in the screw holes by a previous guest; missing caulk; tub refinished was missing paint; scratched and broken furniture; etc). Elevator out of service (apparently for quite a while now). Old thin towels. No food/anything at the hotel, except for a single (one at a time self-serve) coffee maker for 30 floors of guests.
Upside: Location is very good; room AC worked great.
TIP: If you stay here make sure you book the lowest floor possible so you can use the stairs (or plan for very long waits on the single working elevator).

Stay away from here. My stay was 10/15 - 10/19/24. The building has 30 Floors, 1 working elevator. The staff used the elevator the most, so you would wait for 15 - 20 minutes for an elevator. No ice bucket or fridge in the room, had to buy one and schlep ice. Called the front desk and asked about it, the man said he would check with the manager and hung up on me. I needed a 5 am car to the airport and was told $68 however, was charged over $90. Not worth over $430/night. More like $99/night. Beds were comfortable.

Expedition769795, the feedback you provided is valuable, and the details you mentioned are noted. The concerns raised about wait times, communication, and additional amenities reflect a stay that did not meet expectations. The comfortable beds, however, are appreciated. The feedback will be beneficial in evaluating service areas.

We recently stayed here for four nights and had a total of two rooms in our party. Overall we had a good stay and the location is very accessible to Bryant Park which is across the street and the location is just a short walk to Times Square. I highly recommend taking a walk to Joe’s pizza. Subway access wasn’t as close as some of the other hotels but since it’s New York expect everything to be a short walk.

The business area was very small and on the second floor in a tight space. The gym was really small as well. During our stay only one elevator was working for two of the days. There was not options for drinks but a short walk to a CVS allowed us to pick up water bottles. They did have a coffee station on the second floor near the business area. In the lobby to the left there was what looks like a vending machine for things like Tylenol, etc. but I did not notice snacks.

One of the rooms had difficulty staying cool. The air conditioning unit would work for periods of time and then maintenance would have to come and try to fix it. There was many nights that we were very uncomfortable. At the time they stated they did not have another air conditioning unit to replace it. The bathrooms came with Paul Mitchell tea tree shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The beds were firm but the pillows as always are amazing when staying at a courtyard.

We had reserved to stay here for 2 nights. We arrived (family of 4) at around 8pm on a Saturday. Just before us and just after us, other families both with young children arrived. We were all told the same thing. The hotel was overbooked and there was no room for us. To add insult to injury we had already been charged for the night for a room that wasn't even available! The hotel would have been paid twice for the same room! Plus no alternate plan for our accommodation (or the other families) had been arranged. We waited at least 25 minutes while the manager called around to find us a 'comparable type' room. Once at the alternate hotel, it was far from Mid-town where we had wanted to be, it was loud and dirty and had only double beds (not comparable to the queen beds we had reserved).

When we returned the next day for the second nights' stay, the receptionist politely checked us in but there was no amount showing on the credit card machine (not his fault), when we asked what the amount would be, we were told a price that was about $100 more than our original reservation. We showed him the printed reservation which was made directly through the Marriot website, not a 3rd party, and the price was changed but had we not asked, we would have been very surprised when we got our credit card bill!

To be fair, and why I gave only a 'poor' rating instead of a 'terrible' rating, our night at the alternate hotel was paid for, the one night at this hotel was refunded and our taxi to & from the alternate hotel was paid for. The room was clean and quiet. The staff (esp. the doorman(?) were all friendly. It was Marriots fault the hotel was overbooked and that we were charged incorrectly. The manager should have realized this overbooking was happening and at least looked into alternatives for guests.

Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience at our hotel. We deeply regret the inconveniences you and your family faced during your stay, and we appreciate your candid feedback. We're truly sorry for the overbooking situation that occurred during your arrival. This was an unfortunate occurrence that does not reflect our usual standards. Your frustration is completely understandable, and we apologize for any distress it caused. We should have had better contingency plans in place to accommodate our guests during such situations. The issues with the reservation amount and the confusion surrounding it are also deeply regrettable. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused. Regarding the extra $100 you were told about, please be assured that it was meant as a security deposit, and it's entirely refundable upon checkout. We apologize for any lack of clarity in communication regarding this matter. We're glad to hear that you found the room to be clean and quiet, and we appreciate your kind words about our staff, especially the doorman. Your acknowledgment of their friendliness is greatly appreciated. We've taken your feedback seriously, and we're committed to learning from these incidents to improve our service and prevent similar issues from arising in the future. We're glad that we were able to refund your first night's stay and cover the costs of your alternate accommodations and transportation. Thank you again for sharing your feedback.

We just left after 4 nights here and I feel like we hit the jackpot! This hotel was small and quaint but always felt like coming home after long days on our feet in the city. If you drive in, have the valet park your car. It’s worth the extra money. Our car was very well taken care of. We were on the 25th floor for our family of 4. The rooms are small but had everything we needed. All we did was sleep here. We knew there was no food here and brought our own and there are more coffee shops nearby that this isn’t an issue. Free water/coffee/hot chocolate. The location is like hitting the jackpot. 3 blocks from grand central station, 1 block from Bryant park which was lovely and walkable to broadway, Empire State Building, and Times Square. We were able to use the subway to all other tourist places. The real icing on the cake is the amazing valet named Pedro. He greeted us every night and was so sincere. He loves his city and we love him for his honesty and site seeing tips. He is a wonderful human. 5 stars for this hotel.

I can’t say enough about this hotel. We were a bit nervous as this was our first trip to NYC. This place checks all the boxes. Close to subway station, within walking distance of many attractions, places to eat and drink nearby, rooms (including bathroom) are large and clean, staff is pleasant and helpful. A nice little extra is the free hot drink bar. We also loved that it’s right across from the New York Public Library/Bryant Park which was great for morning walks. We would definitely stay here again!

The Courtyard Manhattan Broadway on the East side does NOT have a coffee maker. it does have a hair dryer. It is one of the worst Courtyards I have ever stayed in. The Courtyard Broadway on the West side is a far better choice and does have both amenities.
