A great experience for the first time in New York city, we will be back soon! The room was clean, the fragrance of the amenities were refreshing and loved the heated tile in the bathroom (a plus). We will definitely be back!

I booked this hotel because of the name (my late Mom’s), it’s location in relation to the Pride parade and the great online reviews. Our stay was as wonderful as expected. Because I booked directly with the hotel, we got juice coffee and a fresh pastry each morning along with a late checkout. I also got a nice Pride related, surprise gift bag. We had dinner there one night and it was delicious! We will definitely stay here again.

Perfect hotel for our stay in the city. Centrally located. Friendly and accommodating staff. Great breakfast. They were wonderful with getting a crib for our one year old. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting.

My sister and I stayed here three nights and had a wonderful stay. The hotel itself and our room were really charming with a stylish decor. We didn't eat in the restaurant, but the wine and bar food were excellent, as well as the coffee and cookies in the bakery. Super clean, friendly, and well-run.

Location - great. Rooms are very stylish. Shower is fantastic. Beds are comfortable. Closets are spacious. Extremely clean room and bathroom . Gym is small, but has what you need. And I think the bathroom floors are heated, All and all this is a great hotel. What makes it stand out, however, is the customer service. I had only planned on staying one night and had my car valet parked. When I went to retrieve the car just before midnight, the valet reported that the car died in the middle of the street. The hotel staff walked me to my car a couple of blocks away, gave me bottles of water and snacks, and offered to stay with me until a tow truck arrived. Once all of that was taken care of, I returned to the hotel thinking I could book a room for the night. They were sold out as was every other hotel I called. The manager tried calling for me also. No hotel, no car, middle of the night. The night front desk staff let me sit in the lobby for the night and checked on me every so often. When morning came, they gave me a room for the next night as soon as it became available which was before 10am. One of the roughest spots I've been in, but my saving grace was the fact that the front desk staff at The Evelyn, especially the assistant front desk manager John Velasquez, treated me like family in a time of personal crisis. I will be sure to try and stay here on my subsequent visits to NYC.
