Very nice customer service. Ordered us a taxi and helped inform us about the area. The hotel is in the Center of New York near Times Square and Central Park. Rooms we cleaned regularly. 1 out of two room had difficulty getting the shower to work but overall nice hotel

Room is big and bed is nice. You get what you pay for. Less pricey compared to other hotels in this location. Friendly staff and location is walking distance to tourist spots. lRecommended for budget travellers. Instead of subway, we can walk to different places.

HORRIBLE RODENT EXPERIENCE during my stay here. As I stood by the bed going through my bags a rat came from underneath the front door and ran underneath the bed. I immediately tried to scare it out and when that didn't work my request to be relocated was denied. I had to keep the bed in the middle of the room all night because of an electrical outlet hole under the headboard that might be housing the rodent. The quality of my stay at this hotel was greatly impacted by this experience. The experience was worsened because of the delay in managements response. It took them 5 days present me with a ridiculous offer to come back to the rat hotel and they would give me $100 off. They also offered me some dinner at the restaurant in the basement. Its unreasonable to expect someone who had a rat experience at your facility to come back and eat there. They refused to give me a partial refund. They refused to give me any percentage off at checkout. Their resolution protocol leaves much to be desired. Their delayed response and unrealistic offer was a slap in the face. I will never return here or recommend anyone stay here. …

This boutique hotel was everything we wanted - a good location, a safe place, a clean room, daily service, twenty-four hour desk attendant, an elevator, and a helpful staff. We would gladly stay here again.

The worst hotel I have ever experienced! I checked out within 30 minutes of arriving. The primary issue was the ill fitted single glazed window which allowed a very strong draught to blow constantly into the room. The draught was so severe it was like being outside, I am certain I would have got pneumonia or worse had i stayed a night. The bed was right next to the window and could not be moved due to the size of the room. There was a little heater below the window which made an unbearable noise but gave out virtually no heat and certainly not enough to compensate for the draught. Other more minor matters was that the room was presumably last decorated in the 1970's with furnitureto match. The bed springs were completely gone and the bedding was green color with evident stains from use over a many number of years. The bathroom was dirty, full of grime and mold, I am glad I did not need to bathe there. I asked initially to change the room and was told they were all the same, so i checked out. The only positive I can say about this hotel is the location, but for not much extra there are far nicer hotels close by. I asked for a refund and the manager replied not even apologising and stating they "do not issue refunds for the room being a little cold"; they completely ignored everything I had written. They obviously had no interest except keeping my money. I have therefore raised a section 75 claim on.my credit card for a refund, as the roon was not only not as advertised but was a health hazard. Honestly do not stay at this hotel. It is worse than any hostel or hotel I have seen in any other country.…

I travelled with family for a 2 night stay. This trip was a last minute thing and finding affordable, convient and a decent place to stay was challenging. Finding the Da Vinci hotel was a perfect fit for our needs. The room was small, however for three women it was ideal. They provided a roll out bed which fit perfectly. The room was clean, they made our bed on the 2d day, eventhough it was radiator heat which took a minute to crank up...it worked. Of course the view wasn't as picturesque as we would have liked..but NY. The bus and subway was just a few steps away, many restaurants in the area, including places to shop. The staff was pleasant and courteous. I would definitely stay there again

My 17 year old daughter and I stayed 16th Dec 2022. We booked a twin room which was nothing like the hotel images. it was very basic. the TV didn't work and the staff informed me many rooms were like that. We were not there to watch tv but my 17 year old would have liked to watch a little before bed. The hotel facilities were also very basic, a little mould in the bathroom and poor ventilation. The heating also did not work which was really needed for a cold winters night. The hotel is in a good location just far enough out from the hustle and bustle of Times Square which is an awful place, Now the staff were fantastic and could not do enough for you, they were badly let down by the hotel itself.

Before I start, I need to say that all staff I encountered at Da Vinci were extremely pleasant, professional, and helpful. Our room was very clean. It is not their fault that the owner of this hotel does not value supporting them with a building that is not run down and in need of maintenance and basic updating. In fact, the only reason I give this hotel 2 stars is BECAUSE of the staff. They are holding it together. They deserve a serious bonus for having to deal with the shortcomings of this place. Location is great, but for the price I was surprised to find: 1). TV/Cable boxes that do not work. And it's not just our TV. It is many room's TVs in the hotel. They just don't connect. It was almost comical.... 2). Furniture that looked like it was picked up at a garage sale and painted cream. Which by the way is the same cream color as the walls, trim, and everything else. A lazy way to freshen up I'm thinking.... 3). An unsecured front door. There is no keyed entry. Anyone can walk in and go to any room and the elevator. Yes, the staff is there....but that's it. 4). Rooms have no carpet. Which honestly was a good thing because then you know there is less of a chance of bugs, but the floor was some sort of composite that was cold. it made the room cold and not fun to be in. 5) Bathroom was clean, but there is mold in the grout. It's not from lack of trying with the cleaning staff. The room was very clean. It's the kind of mold that has permanently stained the grout and needs to be redone. The tile and fixtures look very new, so it was odd that the tub doors were outdated and with mold. Plus, whoever installed the tile and marble left gaps and poorly cut out areas everywhere. There was a huge hole around the shower head. 6) Some of the linens were old. We had many cigarette holes in the pillow shams and blankets. Some of our towels were old and thin with a few threadbare holes. I'm not a fussy person and I don't need fancy accommodations. I have stayed in MANY older hotels in the Central Park South/Midtown area without these issues. I was not expecting a modern hotel. This was just a sad case of a building not being kept current and comfortable. There was nothing charming about this place. The restaurant that was attached - Joe Gs Italian - was very good. Excellent pizza and salad. Very nice dining room. Too bad the attached hotel is not to that standard. There are better places to stay for the same $$. We won't be returning.…
