The Moderne Hotel is in an incredibly convenient location. We walked everywhere! The staff were extra friendly and helpful. I cannot compliment them enough. The room was small but quite livable. The bathroom was very small...but it worked. My only complaint (perhaps unavoidable in NYC) was the lack of light in the "Deluxe King" room, whose only window faced a wall from just a couple of feet away. Nonetheless, we have found our new go-to place in the Lincoln Center-CPS area of New York!

Go to a different hotel. Our AC unit would not stop blowing hot air, even when it was on cool, so we contacted the front desk. They sent an “engineer” to fix it. He told us he wouldn’t turn off the unit because he was afraid it would freeze. His suggestion was to open the window to the street outside and the door to our room and wait until the room was at our desired temperature. We were on the ground floor, so that was not an option and the room was 82 degrees at this point. It was 8pm so no hotel would let us book a room that late so we had to stay one night. The front desk staff tried his best to work it out, and offered to refund our stay if we decided to continue it through the booking, but it was unbearably hot. He did get us fans for the room which helped for the one night we had to stay Thank goodness for American Express travel help. I’m sure it would have been great if nothing went wrong, but it happens sometimes and we were greatly disappointed in how it was handled. Spend the $30 less and stay in the Hilton.…

The hotel unbeknownst to us had no heat since one day earlier. They checked us in without informing us. When we could get the thermostat to turn on, we called the desk. They proceeded to say they would send an engineer, who eventually arrived with a small personal space heater that could not heat a bathroom, much less a bedroom. When we asked to move to another room, none were available. When, we told them we would need to find other accommodation, they admitted they had a known heating issue and it would be no problem to get a full credit back on all charges. But, General Manager Sebastián would need to formally approve that the next day. When I called the next day to confirm the cancellation of the charges, they could not confirm it and Sebastián was busy, but would call within the hour. After several calls over the next several days, and a few in the following two weeks, a partial credit showed up. Still no word from the hotel and still trying to get the full credit. My advice: Buyer beware!…

Great hotel: super centrally located; right next to Gastro Market; great staff; umbrella in the room for use (it was rainy); clean; QUIET rooms; other guests were polite; the room was deluxe - I love the king sized bed. The water in sink and the shower was HOT!!! We were very happy at this hotel and would recommend.

Nice Hotel, Convenient Location. This hotel is located off Broadway and 53rd, just steps away from the Ed Sullivan Theatre and other attractions. I would describe it as a boutique hotel. The decor is interesting. The room, while small, was nice and the bed was comfortable. The room didn't have a microwave, however, there is a microwave and free coffee located in the guest lounge on the second floor. Overall, I was pleased with it and have no qualms recommending it to others.

Friendly, helpful staff. Clean, quiet room with plenty of space for four. Parking next door. Easy check in and out. Great location on quiet street. Cascade for 24-hour coffee. Stage Star Deli for BEC. The Original Soup Kitchen five doors down. Will definitely stay again.

Definitely going to go back to Moderne. Went as a family of 7 including a toddler. Staff were quick to set up the crib and make sure everything was perfect. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Comfy bed and great shower. Amazing location!

Hotel had fantastic location and very friendly staff, room was a little small but to be expected in New york however bed was bery comfortable along with a very nice bathroom. the hotel is well maintained and very nice.

This boutique hotel is very centrally located. I walked to the park, to restaurants, to the laundromat, to the grocery store, to the theater and to the 3 subway stations that were all nearby; and I felt safe doing so. I had a room on the 7th floor, away from the elevator so it was very quiet. My room was small, but no smaller than what I expected in New York. It was clean and everything worked properly. The bed was comfortable; the television worked; the internet was more than sufficient; and I loved the shower. I hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay at the Moderne Hotel the next time I go to New York.
