My husband and I went to New York for Christmas for 7 nights and stayed at Fitzpatrick hotel after reading all the positive reviews. I can’t recommend this hotel and location enough to anyone who is looking to visit New York . The location is just perfect for visiting any of the attractions, you can walk to most as we did a lot of the time . The train station is right around the corner which we used . The hotel was lovely from the rooms to the staff all very helpful and charming . Our first room was on the corner over looking the front street , the room size was enough space but could hear the traffic of NY , on arrival I had champagne and chocolate strawberries in our room as I had mentioned on booking not only was the trip for Xmas but also my 50th Birthday. I was bit cheeky and asked at reception would it be possible to have a free up grade , that night they had given us an upgrade to a suit which was fantastic quite room. The bar adjoined to the hotel was convenient and pleasant, we had breakfast, dinner and even had our Xmas day dinner there . Our trip to NY was wonderful and the hotel made our stay really enjoyable and relaxing. Thank you to all the staff at Fitzpatrick 👍🏻

I arrived at the Fitzpatrick Grand Central in New York on December 22, 2019 early in the afternoon. Staff was welcoming and helpful with issues I had with my Air Canada flight. Regarding Air Canada, it reminded me of last year when, on holiday trip, the airline had lost my luggage.

The Fitzpatrick is a medium-size hotel that is very much appreciated because of the great service and attention it gives clients. I asked for a room on a higher floor. I was given a very nice room on the seventh floor (room 710). It was large and had a view of 44th street in front of the hotel. The room had a very large bathroom, a queen size bed and a flat screen TV. The decor was traditional and updated. It was attractive, clean and comfortable.

Room service was perfect with rooms made up quickly during the day. I gave daily tips and another one the last day.

The hotel was nicely decorated for Christmas in the lobby with a nice Christmas tree facing the living room style space next to it, with books and libraries. The effect was very warm and welcoming. It is a smaller hotel though.

After visiting New York during the day and much walking to see all the holiday attractions, parks and Lower Manhattan, it was nice to come back to a comfortable hotel and room.

The entire vacation experience was really nice and the hotel tried to please customers with small details. My room had complimentary Wi-Fi, complimentary bottles of water and even chocolates at night.

It’s a shame 5 days went by so quickly as the hotel made this Christmas vacation memorable. Air Canada service issues did put a damper on the vacation though but I am trying to forget about that. I have to mention that the weather in New York was sunny everyday with temperatures in the high 40’s or low 50’s. Even at night, when going to Bryant Park, it was mild, pleasant and comfortable. Again, the Fitzpatrick staff was great.

I don't think it would be possible to find fault with this hotel. This was our third stay and we wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in NYC. Every single member of staff is so friendly and helpful, it feels like you're staying with friends when you stay there.

The rooms are gorgeous and the bed so comfortable that you don't want to leave it.

We love the Wheeltapper too, always a great atmosphere there and the breakfasts are fantastic. Unfortunately due to the corona virus and the risk of not being able to get home on our scheduled flight we had to cut our trip short this time but will definitely be back again.

Location wise, it's right across the street from Grand Central Station and if you're a tourist looking to see the sights, within walking distance of Times Square, 5th Avenue, Central Park and anywhere else you want to visit.

We LOVED our stay at Fitzpatrick hotel! The location was excellent, great and safe neighborhood and few minutes walk to Grand Central metro terminal. The room services were great and we were welcomed from the first moment. I should specifically thanks Grace at the front desk. She was very sweet and helpful and made the hotel our home for those 5 nights with her kindness. My only little complaint was with the AC system which was a little noisy. It would be also great if we had a mini fridge and few dishes and utensils in our delux room and a pairs of disposable shoes in the room. There was not free WIFI services on the room though our TMoblie worked perfectly and we did not need a WIFI for our ordinary use of the phones.

We visited NY for the first time, and I honestly could not recommend this place highly enough!
The hotel knew we were travelling for my birthday trip and said they would look after us and give us some bubbles in our room, which was lovely.
From the moment we arrived, our experience was excellent. They upgraded our room to a suite becuase it was a special occasion, which was so sweet! Our bathroom was the biggest I've ever seen and we had a cute little patio, where I could just about see the Chrsyler gargoles!
The hotel was easy walking distance to pretty much everywhere in midtown. We got to Times Square, Bryant Park and 5th Avenue within 20 minutes.
The hotel was kept beatuifully clean and all the staff were so incredibly friendly. Michael the concierge was super helpful with travel arrangements, which saved us having to get a taxi out of town, and $150!!! There wasn't much about the train system he didn't know, if you're interested in getting around to areas not within walking distance.
We are planning to go back to NY in the summer time at some point and we will definitely be staying here again!
The Wheeltapper is really cute for a drink too! We didn't get a chance to eat there, but the food looked good!

We found this hotel on our previous trip a year earlier after being told its Wheeltapper Pub was a good place to watch Premiership football. We enjoyed the experience and food.. it just seemed a very nice place.. and when the Fitzpatrick was offered to us as a choice for this year's trip, we had no hesitation in booking as it just felt good. We were not disappointed, from first point of contact with the charming, helpful Connor on reception, the equally helpful concierge, Michael, all the staff in general, and our superb room. On discovering this was a birthday weekend trip, they promptly upgraded us to a penthouse and delivered champagne and strawberries to the room. The personal touch is where this hotel really come into its own.. in a big, bustling city like New York, this is a real oasis and so central to everything. The hotel and its staff are a credit to the hospitality industry and to themselves. We will be back

I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Fitzpatrick Grand Central Hotel in New York. I checked in with Marilyn and my room was available immediately, so went up to get rid of my bags. Decided that the best course of action was to catch up on business downstairs in the lobby by the warm welcoming fireside rather than use the room WiFi. On returning downstairs Nicole from the reception team checked that everything was to my liking in the room. Its such a great location right next to Grand Central and the Chrysler Building that associates tend to meet me at the hotel rather than me travel to them. The bar and restaurant have plenty of space to meet with colleagues and friends. Massoud and Aktug in the front bar always look after hotel guests well. The rooms have been recently refurbished and are well appointed. This is definitely my hotel of choice for all my trips to New York, more than 12 per year. Its a perfect size hotel, so you do feel as though you are being treated like a member of the family from when you arrive to the time you leave. For those people who are tourists to New York, the hotel is perfectly situated near many of the New York attractions. I can recommend staying here.

We stayed recently for 5 nights and would definitely recommend this hotel. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. We were greeted everytime we entered and left the hotel. Staff were willing to go out of their way to help us. They noticed we were tea drinkers and had an electric kettle sent up to our room for us.

Our room was spacious and clean. Beds were very comfortable. It was my brothers birthday and on arrival there was Prosecco and chocolate covered strawberries in our room. Every evening we came back to 3 bottles of water waiting in our room which we thought was a lovely touch. Air conditioner works really well.

The concierge was amazing, on checking out he took care of our luggage and ordered our taxi to the airport. Location is brilliant, walking distance to Times Square with lots of shops nearby. We can’t wait to plan a return trip to New York and will be staying in the Fitzpatrick again.

There are no on site facilities, however you do have access to a gym, pool etc at Club Quarters, which is literally at the back of the hotel, but you must walk around the block. Just bring ID to reception and they will give you a card to gain access. Nice facilities there.
