It was adequate. We bit on a travel zoo promotion for a weekend there ( in reality it was not much of a "deal" anyway) , so should have expected to be assigned the worst room, and we were . Got the lovely "elevator" room lots of noise all night. The layout room was fine, and what you would expect in an old hotel. Super tiny bathroom with zero counter-space. Sort of had a kitchen a little countertop and a microwave and a refrigerator. Calling it a "luxury" hotel is a stretch, in my opinion. I will say the staff is super nice and accommodating, overall. but we were a bit put off when, in the rooms, they had an ad for those "On the Rocks" cocktails (pre-mixed cocktails in a bottle). We decided to order a couple of them. We called the extension on the card to order. No answer. Called later no answer but it went to a voicemail. Finally my husband called the front desk (again super nice)...but seems they were "out of" any of the ones we wanted..even our second choice they were "out". Not a big deal decided we saved ourselves $15x2 plus tax and tip...but then ya may want to take those cards out of the room. and while they are at it they could update the cards with their "Christmas breakfast"ad. (this is March). …
It's easy to walk to any theatre or 2 blocks to Central Park! Carnegie Hall is adjacent across the street. But in addition to the location, the unit is spacious by New York standards and clean. The little Sweet Greens restaurant nearby was easy to duck into and grab a healthy, cheaper meal. But there are plenty of great restaurants.
We had a great time at the Manhattan Club and we stayed in a 1 bedroom, 2 bath unit. The location is fantastic and you can walk to virtually anything you would need but its also very close to the Subway. There are great restaurants within just a few blocks (and closer) and you will never run out of things to do. We did have a car and we used their valet service which was fast and reasonable. The unit was very big however some of the furniture (in our case the sofa) could use some updating. The sofa in our unit although clean and physically in good shape was not very comfortable. Additionally we had a problem the the tub stopper in the master bath which although maintenance came up and looked at the issue was never fixed during our stay so we used the shower in the second bathroom which was nice. The could also use some type of shelving or storage in the bathrooms as there is no place to put any of your bathroom items. Make sure you take advantage of the owners lounge on the 26th floor as it is really nice and the bartender makes great drinks although sometimes he would display a very New York attitude which although I enjoyed I think others may be put off by such an attitude. Overall we had a great time and as long as you are not bothered by some minor issues and don't expect absolute top of the line facilities you will not be disappointed as The Manhattan Club offers good value. …
The location of club was perfect. Staff for the most part was very friendly and helpful. We never did see the concierge and would have been helpful at times. The unit was clean and we had 2 bathrooms which was GREAT! Bed was not as comfortable as some property's we have stayed in. Some of the furniture had some wear problems. But overall we enjoyed our stay. Still would stay there again.
This was our 2nd time at The Manhattan Club, first was in 2014, and I’ve always been happy with the location! It’s a good walking distance to a few tourist destinations - Central Park, Times Square, Rockefeller Center, St Patrick’s Cathedral, 5th Ave shopping, MoMA, Carnegie Hall, lots of restaurants and gift shops around, and if you don’t like to walk, 57th St subway station is just across. The place is clean overall, comfy beds, there’s also a nice owner’s lounge on the 26th floor to hang out. I’ll definitely be back in the future!!
The hotel was perfect. very clean, best location, outstanding service. we had a wonderful and unforgettable time. we did not need a car or any other transportation service because everything is around and nearby. I would definitely recommend this hotel..
We really had a great stay at The Manhattan Club. Great service and cleaning and great location just south of Central Park with several Metro stations just close to the hotel. We really enjoyed the great and clean gym.
Stayed here with my partner for 3 nights in February. Very average hotel. Rooms don’t look like the pictures, they are actually more dated than the photos that are shown online. The rooms are quite small. The location is literally 5 minutes walk from Times Square and Central Park so right in the middle of everything. In hindsight we would of preferred to stay in one of the areas with more local people which would be less busy as we found the area very busy/crowded and ‘touristy’. Probably wouldn’t stay here again.
We stayed here as a family in Feb 2023 and had a wonderful visit. We had a one bedroom suite with two bathrooms that we traded in from RCI. We stayed on the 18th floor and had a nice view and the room was very clean and we had daily cleaning service. The fridge and microwave was nice to be able to make a quick breakfast. They also provided coffee and microwave popcorn at no fee. The hotel is very centrally located and we walked just about everywhere. It is only about 5-10 min walk to Central Park and 15-20 min walk to Times Square. The Valet Parking is super easy and affordable too. I would definitely stay here again if I were in the NYC area. A+
This is a wonderful hotel within walking distance of Times Square, the shopping at Columbus Circle and Central Park. We used both the hop on, hop off bus and the subway and both are very close. My husband did valet park and it was affordable (for NYC) and quick. The lobby and rooms were nice and the staff was just wonderful. The staff also said hello, made sure our needs were being met and helped in any way they could. We definately recommend and hope to be back.
