Staff very consistent from door men to Admin (Sabina) to front desk and housekeeping. Very nice to come back to after pandemic, clean and cautious. New elevator floors nice. Windows still "bleed" so wish this could be fixed. Miss the cookies!

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The pictures on their website were clearly taken several years ago. The first room we were assigned had a renovated bathroom but that was the only thing that looked like it had be improved in over a decade. The wallpaper was peeling, the carpet was stained and unraveling, the paint on the cabinets was chipping, and the windowsill (inside) was filthy. We called to ask for a different room, and while the man who helped us was very nice, the room they moved us to was even worse. There was water damage on the ceiling, the bathroom was old, and there was a door connecting to the next room that did not have a lock. I don't know how anyone could feel comfortable in this hotel. We checked in rather late, so first thing the next morning we checked out and asked to not be charged for the nights we would not be staying but they refused and charged us over $650 for the 9 hours we were in the hotel. Don't be fooled by the pictures and the price, this is not a luxury hotel, it would be more appropriate to call it a motel.

The only 1-bedroom suite with 2 full bathrooms, 2 TVs, and kitchen in midtown Manhattan. This place has become my go to place in New York City, having stayed here Oct 1-8, 2021, and May 2-9, 2022, with reservations later this year. Flew into JFK, took the $8 Airtrain, then the $2.75 E subway line , transferring to the F subway line at Kew Gardens, arriving at the 57th and 6th station, a 5 minute walk from the Manhattan Club. 500 square foot 1 bedroom suite here is cheaper than a 200 square foot studio in West 57th by Hilton. But Manhattan Club built in the 1920s, while West 57th built in 2009, and a far more luxurious hotel. Two elevators service floors 12-25. Two other elevators in the adjacent Park Central Hotel service floors 3-11. They need more elevator capacity, as each elevator can only hold 7 people max, without luggage. During rush hours, it is common for people to be left waiting because the elevator is full. 2 guests plus employee pushing the hotel luggage cart will take up 1 elevator, common at 4pm check in time. They do have a service elevator, but this was used to transport large hotel laundry carts, and likely dead bodies during the peak of the covid epidemic in late March 2020. Queen bed suite, with bedroom, TV in bedroom, kitchenette-dining room, and living room, along with bathroom with new marble floor, and new marble tiled shower walls. Our 15th floor room 1509 comes with large windows in the living room and bedroom, with a French door for darkness in the bedroom, when living room in use Approximately 500 square feet, or 25' x 20' with 40" flat screen TV on very used dresser facing living room with sofa and padded sitting chair with padded arms. Closet next to front door has an electronic safe, which will fit a 15.7" laptop. Kitchenette has CV1 coffee maker, 30" refrigerator, microwave, dish washer, utensils, bowls, plates, glasses for 4. No free breakfast provided. Refrigerator unusually quiet for it's size -refrigerators are like dogs -the smaller the more noise they make! Noisy dishwasher -run it only during daytime when you are out. No stove, no toaster, no oven, no pots and pans. With ready to eat hot food at nearby Morton Williams on 57th street, and Bread and Honey on 8th Ave. Bed is very comfortable, four large pillows, two night stands with lamps, with nearly new mattresses that hasn't been pulverized by kids using it as a trampoline. From the 15th floor you can just hear the dumpsters being serviced starting at 3am in the morning. Otherwise very little street noise at night, as 56th street is a single lane street with parked cars on both sides, compared to 4 lane 57th street. Bathroom by the front door has shower and toilet and sink. Bathroom by bedroom has bathtub, and toilet and sink. Totally remodeled, with new white marble floor tile, and white marble wall tile on the sides of the shower. Noisy plumbing -running the shower wakes up the neighbors directly upstairs and downstairs. Daily housekeeping has returned after the pandemic to empty trash, vacuum the rugs, change the towels, and make the bed. I brought 25 1dollar bills for tipping housekeeping $3 a day. 26th floor has business center with 6 desktop PCs and printer, free to guests, with access using electronic room key, 6am-11pm. Decent wifi, free to guests in rooms. Ice machines only available on the 2nd and 26th floors, a real pain. Have to bring plastic bottles from home and keep them filled with water inside frig. 26th floor has exercise room, with multiple elipticals, stationary bike, treadmills, and TV, again with access using electronic room key. Wife bought an exercise outfit at the thrift store to use the exercise room during the 3 days of rainstorms. Stayed in the owners lounge on the top floor, with plush seating for at least 70 guests -great place to stay waiting for housekeeping to clean your room during the 3+days of windy, rainy, cold weather outside. You need a room card key to access the bathroom. $75 cab fare to JFK, cash strongly preferred. Ride share somewhat cheaper, but they can't stop in taxi pick up zones. Expect to pay $15 Lincoln tunnel surcharge, plus another $15 out of state drop off surcharge when going by taxi/ride share to Newark airport. . $21.50 for two people to take subway and light rail from JFK, but you better be prepared to carry your luggage and wife's luggage up and down 30+ stairs, as no escalator on final flight. Phone next to toilet, so you can multitask even at the most inconvenient times!

The location is great ! Staff is ok. That's all positive things about this hotel. We knew we had to pay Hospitality Fee $50 per night but there was no service which worth of the price. We stayed 3 nights they came room cleaning only once . We knew Green Policy which they wouldn't change all towels but only ones on floor. We didn't mind that but second day we came back to room they didn't even pick up those towels on the floor and didn't even empty trash cans. So why we have to pay Hospitality Fee$50 every day even they didn't give us any service ? Room was stuffy , temperature control didn't work. And timeshare consultant never available , no breakfast in restaurant like they advertise. We don't think this hotel is 4 star hotel ....Holiday inn is better even they are 3 star hotel they at least provide free breakfast

For RCI member, this is a must do. Fantastic value in the middle of everything Manhattan. This is a hidden gem. Great staff, great location, well maintained unit. The hotel might appear a bit dated, but its really minor, this is the charm of New Yor City Midtown. Walking distance to pretty much everything, and metro is right under your nose to go anywhere else. Loved every minute of staying here.

We were 3 women staying 4 nights in the unit with 2 bathrooms. The furniture was scratched and worn looking and as was the carpet and room. It was not the beautiful room in their website photos. The coffee maker was of flimsy plastic and start button was worn out and hard to make work. The 2 regular generic coffee pods was an issue for 3 women! The next morning we left a note and tip for the room attendant asking for 3 regular coffee pods and 3 clean wash cloths. Upon returning that evening found no one had come to the room so we went to the lobby and asked for those items and for the room to be cleaned the next morning. Later a man who didn’t speak English brought us 2 coffee pods and 1 wash cloth. The next 2 days no one serviced the room! We asked a gentleman on our floor if his room had been cleaned the last 3 days and he said “it had and he heard from other guests the hotel did not provide daily service to those who are not time share owners”! We spoke to a manager and someone did clean the room, left clean towels and coffee pods, the afternoon before we left. The internet is iffy and didn’t have a strong signal. We paid $450 a night. The location was ideal for our visit but the service and room condition wasn’t worth it. The door men were kind and helpful. The bed was comfy.

Friendly staff. Many places very close to the hotel, just walking distance. Maria, Lissette and the boys are the best. Very helpful. Room is super, but just one bed. Look no more. Just experience New York City at its best. Christian church near the hotel.

It's easy to walk to any theatre or 2 blocks to Central Park! Carnegie Hall is adjacent across the street. But in addition to the location, the unit is spacious by New York standards and clean. The little Sweet Greens restaurant nearby was easy to duck into and grab a healthy, cheaper meal. But there are plenty of great restaurants.

The staff and the accommodations exceeded all of my expectations. This our first trip to New York and the knowledge of the Club's staff of the venues, restaurants, stores where spot on and greatly appreciated The club put us within walking distant of the Neil Simon Theatre, Time Square and Central Park. Following their suggestions and adding and little adventure of our own made our NY experiences one for the ages. I can't wait to visit in the summer and catch a Yankee's game.

Booked a 1 bedroom and was pleasantly surprised when it had two full bathrooms. It was great that teenage son could sleep on the pullout bed in the living room and have his own full bathroom. Pullout bed was better than a normal one. Separate bedroom had a king bed and bathroom that were good sized. Location is the real attraction. Easy walk to theaters, restaurants, subways, central park, 5th Ave, trendy restaurants in Hell's Kitchen, Times Square.
