Having read reviews before we travelled had an idea what to expect. If you're looking for luxury this hotel isn't for you. Plus points: 5 mins walk to Central Park, Times Square, 5th Avenue shops, great little cafe downstairs, and delis close by, good size room. We asked for a view and got one of Central Park (top floor -...

Great location to both Central Park and Times Square. Lovely staff who are always willing to help and with a smile on their face too! Maids are also very happy and smiley always saying hello and knocking before entering. Lovely hotel defiantly recommend.

Second stay at the Wellington and I wouldn't stay anywhere else - unless I win the lottery ! Clean, spacious room and bathroom, two comfy queen size beds (and I mean comfy - better than my bed at home !!) friendly staff, diner and restaurant on site, conveniently located - subway entrance right outside the door, walking distance Central Park,...

Stayed here recently as part of a group for 3 nights. Hotel itself is a bit dated, could do with a new makeover inside. Reception staff were ok, not the most friendly but the concierge were very helpful. The room was nice and hotel was quiet. Location is the best aspect of this hotel.

Hotel excellent location, close to shops bars and subway, although dated,no free internet,no tea or coffee facilities. Brought city pass to visit the main attractions (definitely worth it) .Used subways and the buses to get around to save time.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, 5 minutes walk from Central Park and 10 minutes walk from Times Square. The hotel is old and out dated but it's still a relatively nice hotel, bed is really comfy and room is spacious! We stayed here for the location and not the luxury. There is WIFI in the hotel which does...

Just come back from 4 nights in New York, I would love to be able to give 5 stars but sadly not. The location is spot on, turn left out of hotel for Times Square and right for Central Park, the only reason I dropped a star is because you have to pay for WIFI which is not great in...

I stay at the Wellington Hotel every spring for a long weekend. Doormen are exceptional with baggage and taxi requests. Rooms are nice and the Park Cafe at the hotel is delicious, inexpensive and fast service. The shakes are quite tasty after an evening theatre performance. Go for a higher level room as the street sounds can be disturbing, but...

The staff here is consistently professional, accommodating, and welcoming. We were in room 2441...a small room with a King size bed, which we were very thankful for as we only were booked for a double bed. The bottom or our heating/ac unit had fallen out and it was on the floor with all its wiring exposed. We called for maintenance...

We (3 adults) stayed 2 nights, room only. We were on the third floor, room number 347(?) The room was clean and so were the beds. Queen size and a king size beds which were extremely comfy. Thoughtfully arranged so that there was a partition between the beds and each had their own bathroom and shower. The sheets and towels...

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
