This hotel is closed to the public. They are now housing migrants here and they are trying to keep it a secret. Recently exposed on YouTube. See ELY on YouTube for the video. If you are an American your tax dollars are paying to have migrants stay at this hotel for free while veterans sleep on the streets.

Horrible Experience while staying at the Bentley and dealing with the Hotel Manager, Steve Park. I stayed at the hotel in January for 2 nights with my friend, in February for 3 nights and I will never go back to the hotel again. The first stay we encountered low water pressure, so it was a problem taking showers. I booked again in February and there were issues with the heater which kept the room hot. The thermostat didn't work properly. The second night an engineer came to "fix" the heater. The same problem occurred as it was blasting hot air which made it hard to breathe. I was being treated for a sinus infection and told the front desk. I went to bed at midnight and got up at 4 a.m. as it was unbearable. The third night, I had to worry about not having water. The water was turned off from 9 p.m. until after 9 a.m. or later the next morning. (BTW - the water seems to be turned off a lot as I heard from family who stayed at the hotel.) I spoke to Steve Parks who said he was going to compensate me for $443 for the inconvenience. This did not happen, so after multiple attempts to reach Steve Parks, I called the hotel, finally got ahold of him and he placed me on hold to never speak to me again. I was left on hold for more than an hour. I called on another line and was told he left the building. This is the kind of service the Bentley gives its guests. Steve Parks does not want to hear from you and your complaints. The hotel is old, not that clean, the carpets are dirty, and the bathroom had rust stains in the shower. When you book at a hotel, a person should not have to worry about having a room that the furnace is broken or there is no water to go to the bathroom or brush your teeth. The Bentley was an old office building and is not conducive to operating as a hotel. My family has stayed at the hotel and had similar problems. Book at another hotel - the Lombardy or the Fitzgerald and not waste your money on the Bentley.

I never had this kind of experience ever with another hotel. 24 hours before my check in time, they message me via the app that my booking has been canceled due to overbooking. I was supposed to be there for a surgery It created a major problem for me, and had to book another hotel last minute away from the hospital. How can they overbook a confirmed reservation? These are not airliners.

The mix of reviews here gives you an accurate picture, I'd say. It's a nice hotel in a great location (though reviews that are pleased looking straight out at the 59th St Bridge baffle me), but the staff is overwhelmed. The temperature in the first room I was assigned was 89 degrees; the next room was one floor below and was also 89 degrees; finally, after a very long time, the third room was very nice but had no linen for the foldout sofa, and it took forever to get that. They didn't seem short-staffed--three people at the front desk at 3 PM--but just unable to get things right. Management needs to do a better job of supporting the folks who work there and providing guests with a tolerable experience.

Very unpleasant experience- from the clueless staff (Shy) to the appalling condition of the room, do not be taken in by the hotel’s website pictures. Aside from reeking of insecticide, the peeling paint, old bathtub and soggy mattress, don’t waste your money here.

I enjoyed my stay. I was traveling with my parents and needed to get their room arrangements modified. I was able to get this taken care of by the front desk. Franchesca at the front desk was extremely patient and helpful. I appreciated her professionalism.

We booked a room specifically for the "city view" they are so sure to highlight- only to find that the blinds were completely broken. The pull cord that should have been used to move the blinds up and down to allow a view of the the city- the main focus of our stay- had been ripped off completely, leaving the blinds permanently down with no way to open them. We called the front desk and asked to be moved to a different room- only to be offered a room on a lower floor that did not have the same view. Why would we book a city view room, which costs more, and then take a room without the view we specifically paid for? The 15th floor already has a partially obstructed view from scaffolding in front of one of the windows (picture attached), and the other window's blinds remain permanently closed because the cord was ripped completely off. As it was 20 degrees outside on a March night, and we checked in around 10pm, we had no other choice but to stay with the hotel room we got. We were offered free breakfast, but we booked this hotel for the view, not breakfast, and we declined. When we checked out the next morning, I made sure to make the front desk staff aware- and they seemed surprised that our experience was so poor. When I called the following day I was told by the supervisor that management is well aware that the blinds in many rooms are broken because the Bentley Hotel was used as a shelter during covid and the damages sustained to the hotel during that time have never been fixed or updated. When the view of the city is your selling point, and you are fully aware that you are making people pay for something they won't get? That is a deceptive and underhanded way of doing business.

This hotels location has a great view of the east river, Queens Boro Bridge and roosevelt Island trolley. Close proximity to good bars and restaurants. The bar has wines and beers so you don't even have to travel far. The front desk staff was very accommodating especially Christian! I would defintely stay again!

Stayed at the Bentley Hotel for a night with my boyfriend, and I have to say the accommodations and touches made by every individual staff made my experience more than five-star quality. We stayed at the Junior Suite with views overlooking Queensboro Bridge. Away from the hectic streets & loud sirens of midtown, the hotel is in the center of a neighborhood vibe with nice bars, eateries, and Trader Joe's! There is also a bar inside the hotel by the lobby with wide varieties of wine and booze. Not to mention, staff exhibits amazing hospitality services and makes an effort to always go the extra mile in meeting your expectations. I will definitely be staying at the Bentley Hotel again.
