This is my third time staying at the Lucerne and it has never disappointed me. The service was excellent and they even arranged an earlier than usual check in for me with little notice. The staff working there are always pleasant and professional. The location is fantastic, close to the subway, restaurants and shops, Central Park, Riverside Park and museums.

This was our first stay at the Lucerne but I would certainly stay here again. The hotel is expensive by other city standards but in comparison to similar hotels in the area, it is a good deal. We looked at this hotel over a number of months and were able to get a better deal with time. They are good... More

This is my third stay at this hotel and my second TripAdvisor review for it. All of my past comments hold. On this trip, we were "upgraded" to a King Suite with a pullout sleep sofa from our two Queen Beds Superior Suite. This ended up okay since our kids didn't mind the sleep sofa, but I have to say... Loved this place and so glad we did NOT stay in TIMES SQUARE amongst all the noise, lights and chaos! Stayed 4 nights on the 12th floor and the room was spotless and the beds extremely comfortable. Also had fridge in room and room with an opening window! loved it! Reception staff very helpful and knowledgeable and the concierge even... More

I stayed one night at the Lucerne Hotel while on business and I very much appreciated the comfort and friendliness of the place. My room, on the 2nd floor, was large and had the morning sun (a bit of street noise, too, though I did not mind). The bathroom was small but impeccable. Internet is free and works well. Nice... The Lucerne is a nice hotel in a prime Upper West Side location. The rooms are fairly small, the closets tiny and the property has the feel of needing updating in a fairly serious way. When we were there last week, one of the two small elevators was broken, two people complained to the front office staff that wakeup calls... More

The hotel is well managed, very clean, and in a fantastic location. Near Central Park and the Boat House, almost across the street from the museum of natural history. Lots of great cafés within easy walking distance. Our experience with the room was different from that of the other reviewers. Our room was a gigantic two bedroom suite with tons... More

We spent six nights at The Lucerne in mid-town Manhattan and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room -- a "suite" -- was small but well-appointed. Staff was unusually courteous and attentive. We experienced a major screwup with room service, but the hotel management staff did a magnificent job of correcting the problem. (Problems can and do happen; the key is... More

Hotel sort of reminds me of an old European hotel. Smallish simple rooms, but clean, big windows, fine features like dresser and lamps, etc. Staff nice and helpful. Concierge right out of SNL, but got what we needed (car service from Show). Perfect neighborhood. Great coffee place across the street - Irving Farm, nice french bistro attached to hotel, tons...
