I've stayed at the Lucerne four times on business, and recently returned on vacation with my wife. The hotel is clean, well-maintained, and if on an inside room, quiet. The staff is extraordinarily helpful, from the concierge to the deck to the doormen who always greeted us with a smile. We look forward to future stays.

We really enjoy this hotel and come back to it whenever we are in New York. The location is wonderful and it's a great value. It has the feel of a small hotel and the rooms are large for New York. We were given a room when we arrived at 9 a.m. which made our stay even better.

So I lived in NYC for 20 years and find nothing more annoying the the polluted tourist trap called Midtown. Staying at the Lucerne is like going home again albeit more cramped and expensive. UWS has all the amenities you can ask for. Awesome towels and water pressure in shower.

If I could give this hotel more stars, I would. We spent four nights at the Lucerne and wished we could have stayed longer. The staff was super friendly and courteous. The valet shared a tip with us to save money on parking in the city. The room was extremely comfortable and clean. The beds were extra plush; we both...

We stayed last week at Hotel Lucerne as a family of four, taking two rooms next to each other. The rooms were well kept and the hotel cleaning staff in particular need to be complimented for their meticulous attention to detail. Its location is the best feature of this hotel, and we particularly chose it because of its easy access...

My wife and I recently stayed in this hotel. We have stayed in other Upper West Side hotels, but this my new favorite. Hotel staff was very good. We liked our room very much. It's a very convenient to the subway and lots of good restaurants.

Reading glowing reports from other visitors I wonder how my husband and I found ourselves in a tiny little room, in a narrow bed (NOT Queen-sized), with no mini bar, no coffee maker,no bath robes, skimpy blanket, $6.50 charge for a bottle of plain water-- really bare bones for a princely sum of money. Granted this was our first long...

We stayed in this hotel to attend a conference. Our stay was very comfortable. Room was very clean and spaceous. Hotel staff was very friendly. Subway station was close by and we could travel all over New York city without a car. There are lots of restaurants near by. This was one of our 3 or 4 prior stays. We...

We stayed at the Lucerne, May 30 to June 1st, in a Deluxe Queen Suite. We got a better rate through the hotel web site than other sites on the internet. They placed us in a room on the 7th floor. There was no noise from the outside; we could not hear any traffic. The room provided a separate parlor...

We just returned from 5 nights at the Lucerne in NYC and I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel. The staff was friendly and professional. Our room was large and comfortable - 4 of us in there never felt crowded at all. Everything was clean and well kept. The location is convenient to places to eat,...
