See above. Lovely area in Manhattan. Many things to do and see.The beds are really comfortable!! Great pillows and comforter!! We didn't have a chance to see the sights, but, we understand that there are great things to see in Manhattan.
Quiet, clean room. Helpful, courteous staff. Allergic to feathers and they found us other pillows. Located near many restaurants, the metro station, and Central Park. Felt safe walking around the area day and night. Good value.
Fantastic location, exceptional service and accommodations. Parking was a challenge but quickly hotel staff assisted. I was pleased with the rooms and the cleanliness of the bathrooms. I am sure my family and I will return again soon.
The Lucerne is a lovely old hotel, beautifully appointed with friendly and accommodating staff. It is located in a comfortable Upper West Side neighbor, and is surrounded by great restaurants, coffee shops, and other amenities. The beds are super-comfortable and the room is quiet even when the street are busy. I stay there every time I am in NYC.
The Lucerne is not only a beautiful facility in a great location, but staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly. It’s a quiet oasis after a busy day out. The restaurant next door, Nice Matin, offers a delicious breakfast (we didn’t eat lunch or dinner there so can’t say), great service and lots of seating.
The Lucerne is a beautiful hotel, full of charm, that we enjoyed staying at immensely. It was within easy walking distance to the subway. Having an excellent restaurant (Nice Matin) right next door was a definite plus! I would absolutely stay here again when I'm in New York City!
The staff are very friendly and the location is great. It’s walking distance to Central Park And you can walk through the park 20 minutes to the metropolitan museum of art, the natural history Museum and other museums nearby. The staff are pleasant and helpful and it’s a very comfortable place to stay.
This is a beautiful property in a great location but, what makes this hotel truly special is their amazing staff! So friendly and helpful and will go out of their way to accommodate any requests. I'll be back whenever I'm in NYC!
I have very much liked the Lucerne since my first stay in the 1990s. The architecture is classic; the rooms, well-furnished; the staff, professional. But we were very disappointed by our most recent stay for two reasons. First, a repetitive banging noise kept us awake for much of the last two nights of a six-night stay. When I mentioned the noise to the front desk, the agent apologized and attributed the noise to the age of the plumbing. But I had not experienced the noise during a stay in November 2021—suggesting that it is an issue in only part of the hotel. Whether localized or not, I think the Lucerne should alert potential guests of the problem prior to their stay. The second issue, though small, was compounded by a deceptive description on the Lucerne’s website. The description of our king suite mentioned “a custom designed kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave and fine china.” The so-called kitchenette was in fact a cramped cubby with a small refrigerator and microwave. There was no flatware and no china, fine or otherwise—only the usual paper and plastic cups. A small issue, of course—but one compounded by blatant (and easily avoidable) misrepresentation. Will we try the Lucerne again? We do not know. Fortunately there are a number of good alternatives on the Upper West Side.…
Had a great experience at the Lucerne Hotel. All staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful and beds very comfy. Nice hot shower with good water pressure, too. Will definitely stay here again!
