My Husband and I and our two children stayed here for 6 nights in the middle of March. I absolutely loved the hotel. The location is fantastic close by subway stations and central park is only a small walk from the hotel. We were delighted with the size of our room which was a family room it was much more spacious than we had expected it was also imaaculately clean. Every member of staff that we met in the hotel were so friendly and helpful and were always on hand to answer any questions we had. We had travelled to New York to celebrate St Patricks Day but with Covid 19 plans were cancelled but the lovely manager sent up a bottle of wine to our room on St Patricks night which was a very nice token. We will definitely be back to visit when NYC is back in full swing and I would love to stay in the Lucerne once again.…
Have stayed at the Lucerne many times, since 2003. Good rooms, efficient service, great location for museums and Lincoln Center. One block walk to the Broadway Subway, re getting downtown. Good restaurants close. Zabar's 2 blocks away.Concierge helpful re tkts, restaurants.
I stayed at the Lucerne 8-10 nights (3 visits) in the last six weeks. Each visit my room got smaller. On the last visit I begged for an upgrade because the room was simply too small for two people. By the way, you could nearly touch the bed while standing in the bathroom. My sister arrived that same day and got an amazing (full suite) upgrade. I was staying four nights, but they showed me no appreciation for frequent stays. I am moving to another NYC hotel.
This was my third stay in The Lucerne: another excellent experience. The staff at the hotel and its French restaurant, Nice Matin, are welcoming, warm and professional. The comfortable beds ensure a sound sleep after an action-packed day in New York. Only a block away from a subway stop, we were able to access museums, Times Square, the U.N. and other attractions. Only two blocks from Central Park, we found museums, restaurants, cinema, and shopping within easy walking distance. A friend recommended this hotel years ago - so glad she did. PS easy on/off Henry Hudson Pkwy.
We had a lovely stay at the Lucerne Hotel on West 79th. Rate was reasonable for a holiday weekend. Check in was fast and pleasant. Everyone was professional. Although our room was not ready at 12pm which we expected we left luggage with concierge. We returned after seeing a matinee show and claimed our luggage. Room was clean tidy and old world elegance. Bathroom was up to date and clean. Room was quiet and very warm and we had a good night sleep. We asked if there was coffee in the room and they said no but they sent up a keurig coffee maker and coffee. We had a delicious dinner at Nicematin a French restaurant adjacent to Lucerne and offers 10% disc on breakfast. There are several options for dinner nearby. Hotel is conveniently located one block from the 79th and Broadway subway stop. We took the #1 subway to theater district. We went to another restaurant for breakfast. It was a nice hotel to stay for a birthday weekend.. Definitely would return. Only negative would be we wish breakfast was included or heavily discounted. They also have a resort fee which seems to be common now.…
