We always stay here because of its history. The rooms and toilets are clean and the staff are well -trained. We feel safe and cozy around this hotel. Sad that it will never be the same again now that the Towers shall be converted into apartments. We shall miss the view.

We have been to the Waldorf Astoria in NYC many, many times. Since we live only 1.5 hrs away we were coming every few months for weekend stays. Unfortunately this was our last. Not because we did not enjoy it.. Quite the opposite, with this time being our favorite stay yet. But since the hotel is shutting down in a...

Had a great and very comfortable stay at the Towers, and privacy and service are the key differences from the next door Waldorf. Had the opportunity to experience both sides many times over the years, and the Towers side definitely outshines. Heard it will be closing at the end of the month at check-out but one could not tell this...

Stay here if you can. The New York experience is not complete unless it includes a stay at this amazing place. We had stayed at the Waldorf Towers previously and wanted to get there before the conversion to condos Feb 28th. We decided to stay there to celebrate my wife’s birthday and it was the right decision. The warmth and...

I recently was thrilled to spend what will surely be my farewell overnight at the Towers! As part of a "girls trip" we came to the Waldorf during our NYC visit. It quickly became the highlight! We were delighted with our room and that delight was only surpassed by the treatment we received from the amazing staff of the Towers...

Back in the beginning of February my Mom surprised my sisters and I with an overnight stay at the famous Waldorf Astoria. When we checked in, we were told we were upgraded! Even more exciting was the surprise that Buddy put us in the Penthouse of the Waldorf Towers! But he was not done! We were pampered, fussed over and...

Magnificent in every way ! Upon my arrival, I am always greeted by pleasant reservationists who, on most occasions, give me wonderful room upgrades. Menus in the restaurants offer a range of enticing choices and even the bartenders are very accommodating, making hot chocolate for us when it wasn't offered on the menu. The hotel is conveniently located, offers an...

My husband and I went to NYC to visit our young adult children. My husband loves magic shows and we desperately wanted an 'adult' magic show our 'kids' would enjoy. Vinmore aka Vinny made it happen. Although the magic show at Waldorf was 'sold out' he arranged to have tickets waiting for us. He responded to calls and texts regarding...

My partner booked the trip and hotel and I have to say I was completely overwhelmed with the Waldorf experience. It's sheer presence as a hotel and the deco from a by gone era was just truly sumptuous. We had an amazing time and would recommend the team there highlay.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
