Great location and a really wonderful property. Not all benefits of Hilton Honors Gold available without asking firmly (e.g., breakfast, access to concierge lounge). Hotel could use some "sprucing up": paint, modernization. Check in involved waiting for about 10 minutes in line. Not usual for Hilton Gold, but that line was even longer. Buffet breakfast at Oscar's was first rate....

This location is the biggest plus for me. Of course there is a lot of energy in the lobby at all hours. My biggest problem with this property was the reservation process. I am hilton honors gold, so I have a fair amount of experience with Hilton but they could not get it right. The details are boring, but frankly...

The hotel is historic and has a wonderful location. The rooms (other than the tower rooms) are run down, poorly insulated, with no way to control heat in the room. All of that can be forgiven in a historic hotel, but the room service cannot. At $34, you would expect a simple hamburger to be tasty, but it was a...

We booked a pre-christmas trip to New York as a special treat for 6 of us. Two of us, Two children and my two elderly parents-in-law. We booked two rooms via BA. Our booking stated "two double bed superior guest room approx 360sq feet, hi speed internet access, upscale amenities, richly appointed room". This certainly wasnt describing our family room....

Dear Helen M, Thank you very much for your feedback. I am so disappointed to read about your experience at the Waldorf Astoria. It sounds as though the room you and your family stayed in was certainly not up to our standards, and we sincerely apologize for this. We understand that traveling with small children requires comfort, and I am...

Whilst staying in Manhattan you have to have a cocktail here! They serve the best Cosmopolitans and the savouries at the bar are great as well. The staff were very friendly and we would definitely visit here again.

Stayed at the Waldorf-Astoria last week. The hotel was nice inside and the staff very friendly. Seemed everyone was looking to please us in some manner. For example, the bartender made hot chocolates for my children even though it wasn't on the menu. The front desk staff kindly upgraded us to the highest Waldorf floor right beneath the start of...

We visited the hotel during the PA Society of NY weekend and had a great time. Oscars brunch was nice. The Hilton Honors lounge in the Towers was nice as well as usual. The room in the towers was classic, a little small but comfortable. The location is the best part on Park Ave and the room service is exquisite...

This is the second time that I've stayed here and it was just as awesome as I had remembered from my stay last year. All of the rooms that I've stayed in are beautifully constructed (crown molding, marble, etc.) and decorated in a lovely gilded kind of way. True - they don't have the most modern set up, but that's...

Indeed it is an honor to stay here and its history is legendary but its an old hotel and the facilities cannot be considered top class any longer. I would not pay the fee if I was paying privately. Service is 5 star though.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
