Disappointed with the whole experience. Very expensive for a very tired looking bedroom. Lobby and entrance are beautiful, this did not follow to our bedroom. The bathroom was old with a fixed shower that was too low. Internet was very hit and miss mostly miss. We stayed here a few years ago and loved it things have gone down hill...

Our accommodations were comfortable and elegant. We received an excellent rate on a two bedroom suite. Most of the weekend was spent roaming about the city, experiencing a Broadway play, Times Square, Ellis Island and Central Park. This hotel is an affordable "must stay" for the complete New York experience.

The Waldorf is well known as FANTASTIC and it really is! First of wall the rooms are big such as apartaments with kitchen, enourmous living with bed many wardrobs (dont forget to check the pics). I really felt at home in Waldorf, the bed is sooo confortable that you can sleep endlessly. The concierge decoration is breath taken and is...

We will miss this grand hotel and all of it's history. After these last few visits however, it is clear that renovations are a priority. We hope it will not lose all of it's old world charm... and glamour. The staff is always professional and gracious even when things do not run smoothly.

I recently stayed at the Waldorf. I've stayed there before a few years ago, but the rest of my party had not, so I wanted to give them the same great experience I previously had. Unfortunately, the hotel didn't provide my party with that same experience. I'm not a "service snob" at all. I stay at limited service hotels all...

I was really looking forward to staying at this hotel - the lobby hall did not disappoint. Reception is buried in what felt like the heart of the hotel - it was quite dark and signage could have been better. The staff were friendly - although could have done with more staff on reception both when checking in and out...

Dear 316guillermod, Thank you for taking the time aside to write a review regarding your recent stay here with us at the Waldorf Astoria, New York in such glowing terms. Our lobby has a famed history of being a great meeting place, second to only the clock at Grand Central Station and the Empire State Building. Our goal is to...

A classic hotel with NYC sophisticated charm. The location is great: easy access to Rockefeller Center and Radio City Music Hall. Also close to Central Park and shopping galore. The bed was very comfortable and my room was clean. I felt like I was the only person staying on my floor (which seemed a bit like the Shining but it...

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
