I stayed here with my family in march. We had 3 rooms. The rooms were great sizes. They were clean and had everything in them I needed. On the first night my mums room was right outside an air conditioning unit which was really noisy. The hotel dealt with this brilliantly and moved her that night. You are in New...

Only good things to say about this hotel. We had an upgrade on arrival to a very large room, spotlessly clean. The staff were helpful and smiling at all times. The bar is popular with locals on weekdays but empty at the weekend. We didn't eat at the hotel preferring to sample what was on offer around the city. The...

The most spectacular hotel bath I've ever seen - circular tub with mirrored tiles and ceiling shower. Great bath products. Low lighting on the ground floor is nice and mysterious but I heard a few older guests complain because they couldn't see!

First time in New York - this hotel in a perfect spot for everything. The common areas have a cool vibe but drinks are expensive. There is no room service or coffee facilities but there is a fridge. The room and bathroom are large, but negatives were the broken bathroom fan and noisy air conditioning. The desk and concierge service...

Weve stayed in this hotel a few times & it doesn't disappoint. The darker vibes aren't for everyone but the whole hotel follows this feel & it works. Rooms are a good size for a new York hotel, walk in shower and vanity space with long mirrors in the bathroom, Lots of wardrobe and storage space. Overall a good hotel.

This hotel tries way too hard to be cool. The whole lobby is dimly lit with lounge music playing somewhat loudly. 20 minutes to check in. And, I had to go locate someone because the desk clerk vanished with a line of customers waiting! Now get this... plenty of booze for sale and even a "sex kit' in the room....

Hello 380darina, Thank you for staying with us and thank you for your feedback! I apologize for not meeting your expectations this time around. I do apologize for the inconvenience of not having coffee makers in the room and for the selection of the minibar items ( standard in every hotel ). Best, Aleksandar M.

The low level of lighting throughout the entire hotel was beyond odd. Walking into reception from the sunny outdoors took some adjusting, as the place was permanently dim and dull. They are obviously going for a cocktail lounge feel but it's not really what you want when checking in with your suitcases or want to find staff. Our room was...

The Royalton is very well located Mid-Town close to Time Square and close enough to the Moma, Rockfeller Center and even Central Park. The lobby is very dark and not welcoming. Once you have found the check-in desk, a very nice employee welcomed me. I was staying only for a night and got an upgrade to a larger room which...

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Morgans commissioned Roman Williams, to re-create Royalton's legendary lobby. The design - simultaneously sophisticated and complex - juxtaposes an icy cast-glass vestibule and brass furnishings with soft suede upholstery, thick leather walls and hide-covered chairs to create a dark, sexy and luxurious space. Design and architectural details include a mammoth floor-to-ceiling hand forged cast-bronze fireplace, a twenty-foot screen that was once part of the facade of a building in France and hand-upholstered leather walls. ... more   less
