Hotel is in such a great location on 64th street. It is located just a couple blocks away from Central Park very near the Zoo. The staff at the door and front desk team were very accommodating and helpful with all or our requests The room was beautiful and very well tended to throughout our stay by the housekeepers. Bar...

I have stayed here a couple times for weekend getaways in Manhattan. As someone who travels frequently for work, I stay at a lot of properties and this by far the cleanest property I have every visited! The staff here pays attention to ever detail and provides exceptional service. The location is great as well, close enough to walk to...

If you are discerning traveler with a distaste for large chains and a love of European service, this is the place for you. Many rooms have lovely boisserie bilt ins and the tiny 4 stool bar a delight. The staff simply cannot do enough to accommodate even a picky traveler like me

I have stayed in some of the finest hotels in N.Y.C. But this is by far my favorite! Elegant, with service second to none! Upon arriving you are welcomed as a dignitary into this beautiful hotel. The rooms make you feel as if you are staying in the best of European hotels. Lovely bar and food was delicious. The Valmont...

The hotel offers a quintessential NYC experience from the gilded age with lavish rooms, comfortable beds, and extraordinary service. Guest will not want for attentive staff. The location makes most of mid-town and the Park walkable while providing some seclusion from the hustle and noise of the main streets.

My wife and I decided to spend a nice autumn weekend in New York City. We selected the Plaza Athenee for its location on the upper east side near Central Park. We arrived early, and to no surprise, were told that our room was not ready. We left our bags with the bellman and left to eat lunch and wander...

Small and intimate, refined and reserved in style, on a relatively quiet street, the hotel is a pleasant oasis whether you are traveling for business or pleasure. Service is personal and pleasant, food choice and quality as one would expect for a traditional luxury hotel. The property is slightly faded with paint work showing signs of wear and tear in...

Great location off the tourist side. Friendly staff and great service. Room was spacious and clean. Arrived late and was happy to find dinner at the bar. It is on the expensive side but then again its NYC!! It is worth it if you like the location. Will return.

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
