From the valet at the hotel entrance to the elevator operators (yes- this hotel has an elevator staff 24/7!) I was treated as a valued guest. I stayed in deluxe king room, somewhat small relative to other NYC hotels, but beautifully decorated with a most comfortable bed. Flat screen TV and remote worked perfectly- not always the case in other...

This is a stunning hotel, with so much history and tradition being a Taj chain of hotels. The service was impeccable from the minute we arrived. Our room was beautiful, spacious, one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in, but the view was not particularly great - room #817. The proximity to Central Park and 5th avenue...

Great location, spacious rooms, attentive staff, great food-nothing to dislike. We've stayed in a number of mid-town hotels and keep returning to the Pierre. Only complaint is the bar can get very busy as the hotel hosts a large number of black tie events-pretty people and lots of them.

From the moment we drove up until the day we departed, we experienced exceptional service. The doormen, the bellmen, check-in staff, elevator operators, housekeeping, room service, hotel lounge and more everything was outstanding, we just cannot say enough.

I have never felt compelled to write a review before, but our stay at The Pierre is definitely worth sharing. My wife and I normally travel to NYC for several nights after Thanksgiving to celebrate our Anniversary, and she does some shopping. This was our first stay at The Pierre, but we definitely plan to be back every year now....

Location needs no explanations but as a female frequent traveller I do appreciate the following things which are not to be taken for granted in 5 star hotels: good hair dryer, socket next to a mirror, body lotion in the bath room and one that is only mildly perfumed. Also good number of sockets and adapter already in the room.

We love the Pierre hotel. The service in the Pierre is the best. They care customer service and care your stay in NY. We had a lovely time there. Pierre upgrade our room and prepare gifts for us. Location is perfect to stay at central park south. It's very easy to visit everywhere in NYC. Small touching made a big...

Is this the most luxurious hotel in NYC? No, but what it lacks in modern design and furnishings, it makes up for old skool service. White glove service; greeters in the elevators; proximity to Central Park. It's a place that is not for everyone. If you are seeking a place to "party like a rock star" and modern furnishings, the...

My family and I stayed at the Pierre Hotel over the Thanksgiving weekend. The location is pefect, it is a few blocks North of all of the action on fifth avenue and an easy walk to Central Park, museums and the shopping on fifth avenue. But the hotel is in a quiet, relaxing area and even on a busy weekend...

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
