Great hotel in the middle of everything! Arrived early and was offered an upgrade however the only room was an inside room It has a window is a little dark but quiet from the street noise. It worked for me. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable which I enjoyed. The staff was efficient and friendly. They no longer serve... More

I did not stay at the hotel, as I work in the neighborhood, but I love the Lounge on the lobby level. It is actually someplace where you can sit and have a conversation without having to raise your voice to be heard. There are lots of comfortable chairs and banquettes to relax on. Last time I went the martini... More

I stayed here once before when I went to the World Series in October. I knew then that I wished to take no other chances with an unknown hotel in the future and probably will not stay anywhere else when visiting midtown Manhattan. My wife and I spent our 32nd wedding anniversary there this week and we were pleased as... More

We arrived with reservations for two rooms. The staff noted that the rooms were not ready; one was finally ready at 6pm and the 2nd after 8pm. It would have been completely annoying but the staff, including managers, were so lovely and understanding. The manager gave us drinks and then breakfast. Everyone reported that this had NEVER happened before. It... More

Stayed here for an weekend getaway after looking for a more boutique style hotel vs a chain establishment that we usually stay at. Our king room was well appointed although a little tired and could use some updates. The bathroom and vanity area were great. The bed was comfortable but could use pillow top mattresses!!! The sheets and towels were... More

Stayed at the Michelangelo during the blizzard in January 2016. Room was lovely and spacious, comfortable to be "holed" up in during a blizzard. Bar area very hospitable. Beds were very comfy and cozy, location very central to Broadway shows, Rockefeller center, 5th avenue, metro stops. Staff very nice and accommodating. They even provide free shoe shine service.

Perfectly situated for all Broadway and close-by activities. I found the staff always friendly and helpful. This is a "find", in an area where it is hard to find value and quality without breaking the bank.

We go in to NYC regularly for work and for family (mostly to see a show). We are looking for that place that could be "the one" that is right location, the right price, the right service. The Michelangelo could be the one. The location is perfect. We were there for the January Blizzard and could walk to Central Park... More

From the first moment we walked in the door we were made to feel welcome. Staff are friendly, extremely helpful and good at what they do. The room was immaculate, decor stylish but not intimidating, bed was divine. Food served in the hotel was delicious. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, having a drink with Bernie in the bar... More

The room was beautiful and spacious. The bed was amazing. Great water pressure in the shower . The entire hotel was just elegant and lovely. The staff was friendly and helpful, but not solicitous. And it was quiet. this was a last minute trip and I just took a chance. So pleased... I look forward to returning.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
