Charming (clean!) hotel has B&B character, great location and friendly staff, but bowled/unsupportive mattresses NEED to be replaced. Stayed 4 nights, changed room 3 times. Third bed better than bed number one, but not by much. We just got tired of moving.

I had read many reviews prior to our stay and was a bit mixed. I was pleasantly surprised with our stay. We arrived very early and they managed to arrange for an available room right away without our asking. Staff were very friendly. The room was comfortable (we stayed in a regular Guest Room), bathroom was a tad small but... More

The charm of 1930s New York still exists in The Mansfield. The hotel has been updated with exceptionally comfortable beds and immaculate tiled bathrooms. However, it retains hardwood floors, beautiful winding marble staircases, narrow halls, and a paneled library with a working fireplace. Our room in the back of the hotel was small but adequate with a view of a... More

We stayed for six nights, the week of the Super Bowl. The location of the hotel is fantastic. The rooms were quite nice. Many of the reviews mention that the rooms are tiny. I was quite surprised and pleased with the size of the room that we had. It is Midtown Manhattan after all! The staff was friendly, the room... More

The Mansfield was a terrific bargain in a great location. Accessibility to 5th Avenue, Times Square, and the subway are ideal. The M Bar was everything it was said to be - the cocktails were extremely tasty!

Very quaint hotel that is conveniently located to Midtown, Broadway, Grand Central, and the Subway to get anywhere else you need to go. Nice, comfortable rooms with high quality sheets, pillows and beds. Love the library room with a fireplace and tea/espresso machine. Also nice to have a good restaurant/bar on the premises so on cold/late nights or early mornings... More

This is a very well run boutique hotel. The public wi-fi space is a library with a fireplace and is very welcoming and comfortable. There is always lemon water and free coffee/cappuccino available to guests as well as delicious cookies in the afternoon. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. Highly recommend.

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights, Jan 2014. We stayed in what i believe they call their JUNIOR SUITE. It was perfect for two of us, and would have worked well if we had brought our children. This hotel reminded me of a smart European hotel. The staff was warm and welcoming, which you rarely find in NYC. Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
