The location of this hotel is fantastic, just a short walk from Times Square, Shopping and restaurants. First impressions were great, the hotel was very clean and the staff were extremely kind and helpful. Our room was a little disappointing, as it was very dark and always extremely hot, especially during the night. The view was just a brick wall,...

Me and partner stayed at the Mansfield for our holiday in New York, and we couldn't have chosen a better location! It is situated right in between 5th avenue and Times Square. The hotel was immaculate, the staff were lovely and our rooms were cleaned everyday. There were no issues at all getting to and from the hotel to JFK...

I took my daughter to NYC between Christmas and New Years for her 21st birthday. The location of the hotel was fantastic. The staff in the restaurant/bar area were great. The room was quite decent. The bathroom was quite small, but it was fine. I think for the price we paid per night, we should have had free wifi in...

we stayed at the Mansfield over New Year 2016. the entrance and downstairs of the Mansfield is very grand with marble floors and open fire in the reading room. Unfortunately our room was not so grand- bearing in mind it was December the room was ridiculously hot. It was also very dark with only two tiny lights at only one...

Had a great stay for 2 nights in the Mansfield Hotel on 44th and 5th. Room was spacious, bathroom was huge with a fantastic shower. Would stay again but two downsides. No wifi in room, such a let down as planning our day and booking events meant we had to waste extra time in the lobby which could have been...

Lovely boutique hotel on 12 W 44th Street between 5th & 6th Avenue... this was a fab location.  I stayed here during the last week of December when it's very cold outside and the bedrooms were always permanently warm, which was great.  The rooms were very clean and the staff were always helpful and accommodating. We arrived at 6am (after...

We loved this hotel!!! I had ready that the rooms are small and yes, they are a little bit but if you are out sightseeing most of the day, who really cares about the size of the room. It's clean, nicely decorated and the staff and accommodating and polite. I love their 24/7 coffee stating and their lounge are at...

On the negative - the rooms are dark due to dark wood interia and no central light in room, there is s floor lamp & downlighters around the room, we also kept our shutters closed as view was into other apartments & brick walls, that didn't bother us as we were out all day! On the plus side we had...

Reasonably priced, adequate service, free tea and coffee (from a machine) but, most of all . . . it's right in the heart of Manhattan! The staff are courteous without being overly friendly but insist on playing "background" music as if it were the main event - shame.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
