We stayed here at the beginning of July and the hotel is pleasant. It's in a great location, only 10 minute walk to Times Square. The hotel seemed to be undergoing some external renovations since there was scaffolding and covers covering the whole front of the bedroom, nobody told me about this before getting there. This also meant the bedroom... More

The room is very dark and with the dark furniture make the room look very small and uncomfortable. The air conditioner is very old and noisy, I am a light sleeper and it is impossible to have a good night sleep. The lobby is nice but the coffee machine is poorly attended and does not work very well. The room... More

I dont regret the staying, 'cos the location is perfect. The hotel is not worth the prize it asks for a room, old, noisy. The lobby is nice with free coffy-tea and bryant park-times sq., port authoryty are very near.

Hard to beat the location....BUT! The rooms are very dark, clean mind you, but clearly old, small and dark. There was an attempt to bring it into the 20th century, but hey....this is the 21st century. There are some charming touches like the front-room style sitting are in the lobby and......well that's about it. Oh, the bar is nice as... More

So stayed at this hotel in mid-June when pricesin NYC where very high. This hotel had one of the better deals for a four-star hotel near Times Square. It was overall a great stay with great service. I don't believe it's quite a four-star hotel but in NYC if you want that kind of hotel you need to stay at... More

If you want to barely see your stuff, choose this hotel. The hotel was extremely dark, all the furnitures were dark and also the lights were not enough. So depressive rooms. The rest was good (cleaning, room facilities etc), but it doesnt changed the fact that I will remember this hotel and my trip in new york as dark as... More

I was looking for good location and real charm - not some trendy hotel. The Mansfield was absolutely perfect. Great location in midtown - easy walking to Central Park or Lower East Side. The room was like a suite with a sitting area and separate area for the bed. Very dark, but as jet-lagged travelers that was perfect. And it... More

We stayed in the Mansfield hotel for 10 nights, after reading the latest reviews I was a bit worried about what to expect. I had booked this trip as a surprise for my boyfriends 30th birthday! Location is perfect !everything is right on the doorstep! The rooms are quite dark but I don't think there are many light rooms in... More

The hotel is in a prime location for anybody wishing to visit the many sights of Manhattan with many top attractions only a 10 minute stroll away. Me and my girlfriend stayed at the Mansfield in Jun 2016 and could have no complaints about the hotel. Good value for money and very helpful staff. We stayed in a standard room... More

Hotel was in a great location and we had a lovely trip but this has been spoiled by the hotel taking money from my credit card on return to Scotland even though we were told there was nothing to pay when we checked out. I have sent THREE emails to the manager of the Mansfield and have been totally ignored.... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
