The Franklin boasts an impressive trifecta of style, splendor, and safety. We went for a simple overnight and got greeted by a beautiful and cozy reception area with sanitizing areas, and staff wearing masks. We were on the top floor; the hallways are very quiet, and the elevator feels like you are on a Victorian set. Our room had plenty of light and the overhead was on a dimmer (which I love). As others have mentioned the hot water was plentiful and they provide beautiful local soap and plush towels. The beds are incredibly comfortable. There is great outdoor eating and drinking options (with heaters) just steps away. You can find any cuisine you want within blocks. I would recommend staying more than one night to explore the dinner, coffee, and cocktail options all around you. Highly Recommend.

My partner and I decided to get out of our apartment and treat ourselves to a weeknight stay at the newly renovated and upgraded Franklin Hotel. I am so glad we did! It really is an oasis from the hustle and bustle of city life and the current Covid worries. The calmness and cleanliness of the hotel were apparent from the moment we walked in –hand sanitizer stations in the lobby and elevator, hand washing sink for the staff, and well spaced relaxing seats and work areas are just the beginning. The rooms are quiet, cozy and well laid out. The ability to control the temperature in our room was a huge plus - no one wants to leave and come back to an overheated, stuffy room. The new shower heads and plenty of hot water helped to wash worries away. The ease of access to the subway is an added bonus. We took the 4/5/6 one express stop down to 59th st and had the most amazing outdoor dining experience at Amali! We can’t wait to return to The Franklin and are so looking forward to our next getaway at this European-styled oasis in our backyard!

My husband and I absolutely loved The Franklin. We came down from Oneonta to help our youngest daughter Sarah get settled for a new job. Sarah’s place is in Midtown. I had heard Midtown and Times Square were mostly deserted and not very inviting due to Covid, but I was a bit reticent to book an Upper East Side hotel so far away from Sarah’s apartment. I called the hotel to ask about transportation. The staff was very helpful and detailed. However, I still thought it would take an hour to get downtown. The subway train is a block from The Franklin, so our subway commute to Sarah’s apartment only took 15 minutes. This is only our second time in NYC and it won’t be our last. Forget Midtown – We’ll be staying at The Franklin!

I’m a cameraperson in town for a TV shoot and I was lucky enough to find a place in Manhattan that I actually enjoyed! I’m a sometime traveler and round the clock diabetic. The Franklin, like most boutique hotels in NYC, doesn’t automatically provide a refrigerator. I called in advance to ask about storing my insulin – I’m sick of lugging a mini-fridge around on vacation – and they said they could easily accommodate my needs. A mini-fridge was brought to my room so I could access my medication. I was able to sleep without being disturbed (the sound proofing is amazing), wake up to a shower with ample water pressure (which I’ve rarely found in my travels), and get to my gig on time, refreshed, and full from the complimentary breakfast. I got lucky with this spot. Highly Recommend.

This newly renovated boutique hotel on the upper east side was sparkling clean, stylish, and felt very safe during the COVID era. Even our bathroom was impressive, both from a design perspective and cleanliness. The location could not be more perfect, as we did not even need to leave the immediate neighborhood to enjoy some of the best that NYC has to offer, including incredible bagels at Tal Bagel (on Lexington), delicious coffee at Birch (on 58th), and superb wine at Somm Time (a mere 50 ft away at the end of the block). Staff was very attentive and polite. Already looking forward to our next stay!
