An unexpected visit to Hell's Kitchen was as pleasant as could be here at the Belvedere. Our room was spacious, comfy, with a kitchenette. The staff simply goes out of the way to please. The bar and dining room were well above average. We came at a time when mid town was almost suffocating with tourists just before Christmas. Yet,...

We were delighted with the size of the rooms and location Midtown was perfect. The two rooms we booked were very clean, beds were comfortable and it was great having a fridge, microwave and coffee/tea maker in each room. Housekeeping staff were excellent and kept the rooms looking great during our 8 night stay. There was a self service laundry...

Stayed here in Oct 2016. Great location, close to theatre district and Times Square, but just out of the 'hustle and bustle'. Our (accessible) room on the fifth floor was a generous size, very clean and had a kitchenette - sink, microwave, fridge and coffee maker. Bathroom was quite large, and we also had a generous sized wardrobe with safe....

I stay at this hotel multiple times a year. I really like the location, the staff and the rooms. It is super convenient to midtown, Times Square and anywhere on the West side of Manhattan. The layout of the rooms are outstanding! Manhattan's usual hotel room is tiny. This layout makes it perfect for multiple people to be in the...

I stayed at the Belvedere several times in the course of the years. It's a solid choice, it's very well located and quite comfortable. It's on the expensive side, and it's rare to find deals when booking online. The rooms are bigger than the usual New York, in particular if you get the rooms with two double beds. In general,...

The Belvedere is in great location in the theater district when taking in a show. We arrived very early intending to drop our bags off, but the front desk staff checked us in early and even gave us a free room upgrade. The,room while nothing extravagant, was very clean and functional. The front desk stop was very helpful and accommodating. The...

This was a nice hotel that we stayed in for 5 nights. It is very convenient to Times Square, Broadway, The Rockefeller Center, and Radio City Music Hall. The lobby is rather small but adequate. The hotel has retained some of the Art Deco charm, but the room was modern and spacious. If you are going to NYC to see...

The Belvedere is literally steps from Broadway, Times Square, Rockefeller Center, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Bryant Park, and many other NYC must-sees. The hotel has been there for years and has had some updates. There are dual elevators steps from the front desk for easy floor/room access. Our room was an executive king. The room needed a deep clean-there were reddish-brown...

While the people that worked there were very, very nice the hotel was not comfortable at all. The rooms are extremely dated, the beds are terrible, they sag completely in the middle so if two people are sharing they sink to the center of the bed. The heater didn't work, even after we asked how to use it. The hotel...

If you are looking for a clean room, friendly staff, convenient location to Broadway Shows and an all around bargain, the the Belvedere is a great choice! Just a short walk to Times Square. Valet parking! Historic hotel but rooms were fully equipped and very comfortable. We will make this a regular place to stay on our visits to NYC!

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
