We loved our stay at the Belvedere. Everyone who worked there was polite and helpful. We were upgraded to the 17th floor. Large refurbished room. An international clientele. The location is central to everything in Midtown. Would happily stay there again. Recommend.

I want to praise both the hotel and its employees. The attention is carried out in excellence. Excellent location. Despite being very close to Times Square, the street manages to be quite quiet. Subway stations nearby. Restaurants and supermarkets nearby. clean and nice rooms

Furnishings as pictured above; classic well-built hotel; great location; nice interactions with staff. Our 12th-floor room with a nice view and king bed cost about $515, which included taxes and a “non-waivable” facility fee which had not been part of the original price (not exactly truth-in-advertising). My main complaint was that the drapes were not designed to close, so forget about shutting out the city lights or the sunrise.

Great location and friendly staff. We were on 17th floor with lovely skyline view. Would give 5 stars if the hotel rooms were refurbished. In the morning you can get yourself coffee, tea or hot chocolate. Short distance to Time Sqare and subway.

When we arrived at 2:30 we were told to come back in one hour to check in. we arrived at 5:00 and weee told 5 more minutes before we could get to our room. After another 20 minutes we got to our room to find the AC out of the wall and a drill and parts on the floor. We then had to move to another room. We tried to talk to the manager about this and get some compensation but he totally dismissed us and said they were "too busy." When we got to our second room we discovered the AC vent was FULL of black mold, a very uncomfortable amount. We called the manager again and he was not interested in hearing us out and just wanted to push us on to yet another room not understanding the frustration we already had and the danger of the black mold. He refuses to compensate us and does not care about the safety of the guests. We will be disputing our charge with our credit card and we will calling the NYC department of health.

My husband and I stayed here on a recent trip to New York. The location is perfect, just a short walk from Times Square & Broadway. From reading previous reviews I was a little nervous but I couldn't fault the hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and the small kitchen in the room was a bonus. Staff were friendly and helpful. The lifts were small but we never had any issues. We never waited long for one. If like us you only use the room as a base whilst you are exploring this amazing city then I would definitely recommend staying here.

The second room we got was nice. The first room's A/C had more noise than my window seat by the wing on the jet to LaGuardia. The elevators are small and one was out of service. Front desk person was kind of rude. Was charged more than reservation indicated on arrival for reservation booked through TripadvisorPlus. The location is good and the second room was OK. A/C still noisy, but tolerable. Overall, can't recommend. There are places with better maintenance and friendlier staff for the money.

Very convenient location, steps from Times Squares but not in a busy street. The rooms are clean and well maintained. Friendly staff. There are a lot o restaurants options just around the block on 9 Ave. Laundromat at the corner helps a lot on long stays

Having been to NY many times, our original hotel had closed down after the pandemic, so was re booked into the Belvedere. Location is great, just off Times Square, and close to 50th Street subway, so a good base to explore. Checking in was quick, but as with many reviews, the staff seem to be low on people facing skills, and it does come across. We had no issues with the lifts, and rarely had to wait for one to arrive. The room was ok, if a little dated, but clean and comfortable. However, there is a microwave and fridge but no kettle or cups, which is odd for any hotel these days. The bathroom was clean, but a little cramped, however functional. All in all, a pleasant stay, the location makes the hotel a place where I could return.
