Perhaps the best location in Manhattan. Centrally located yet away from Broadway and Times Square mess. Rooms are comfortable and roomy. That's it But the location tops the outdated decor. Very close to the biggest Macy's and next door to the Empire State Building. Recommend it

We booked this hotel as the price was good with breakfast The lobby is being refurbished Very pleasant staff on reception Very clean Amazing junior suite, big, very comfortable, spotless. Plenty of room for a family of four with 3 adults and a 14 year old 2 double beds and a sofa which we decided to use as a bed...

The highlight of this hotel is its location. It's close to everywhere and with just an easy walking you can go anywhere you want. Breakfast was average minus, with very very limited variety of ingredients. Not much places to sit in the dining room, as it's just a standard room. Room was pretty big for the 5 of us and...

This hotel, which unfortunately at the moment is undergoing fairly extensive work on the lobby, is very handy for Penn Station, being only about 5min walk. The staff are helpful and pleasant. There is a continental breakfast which is adequate if very samey every day...but it gets you on the way. Bar has very limited food available but does have...

The hotel was under a big re-furniture so unfortunately did not see what the hotels true potential was from the main entrance. The lift's were a pain! Being near the top floor you don't want to be walking up all the stairs! But then you would be waiting 15mins for a lift at a time. The room we have was...

Hotel has complementary breakfast. Staffs were friendly. Location of this place is the best. You can reach Times Square in a few minute. Empire state building is absolutely near this place. Furniture was quite old. There was not tooth brush and toothpaste. So, I want to say here is just bring your own tooth stuff.

Staff is friendly. Hotel is under renovations. The bathroom in my room had been renovated but not the rest of the room. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The rug could use replacing and the furniture looks like it's been there since day one. Nice touch is the Bath & Body Works soap and shampoo.

Hotel Stanford, although undergoing renovations, is quite comfortable. I was not disturbed in any way by this renovation. The rooms are small, but not cramped. The staff is friendly, and the wifi works. The location is perfect, very close to the subway, and many stores and food places. I will definitely return to this hotel.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
