Hey everyone is entitled to their opinion but when you're in New York and the weather is good, the hotel is only for sleeping in. Therefore, the Hotel Stanford did its job perfectly, its great central location in midtown lent itself to sightseeing. It does what it says on the tin, nice little budget hotel, can't expect anymore. The staff...

Nice clean room. Free/decent Internet. Great location! Hotel is under renovation so lobby is not very nice but did not hear noise from it. Elevator is slow and free breakfast was basic. Staff was friendly.

I booked this hotel through Thomas Cook as a package deal to take my daughter for her 16th birthday, I wanted the experience to be perfect. However, the room I booked which I paid an additional supplement for (not cheap mind), did not exist! We were given a standard twin room, which was in desperate need of updating, a lamp...

Had a positive experience at the Hotel Stanford ranging from the initial emails I had prior to arrival with reservation staff to the final booking of an SUV to get to JFK. If you are looking for a flashy NY hotel with a view, this isn't it BUT it is only about 50 paces away from one of the most...

Myself and my daughter stayed here for 5 nights in October. We had not been to NYC before and managed to make our own way via train to Penn Station and then walking a few blocks from the station to the hotel. Its location is in midtown and the empire state building is to the rear and nearly every other...

The staff was very helpful, very willing to answer any questions etc. The hotel was under construction but our room was very nice and clean. Large bathroom, 2 full beds, couch, chair, TV, coffee table and desk. It included a breakfast which consists of cereal, muffins, croissants, coffee, juice or milk. The hotel was close to so many things, Empire...

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
