We booked the Loft North for a small wedding celebration and I can't imagine a more perfect place. The room/views were incredible and the entire Soho Grand team went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. I was in constant contact with Sami R. and Murat who worked with me through many changes and were an absolute pleasure to work with. Also want to highlight Chris D, our dedicated server, for the excellent service. Wonderful experience all around, and I would like to recognize and thank the entire Soho Grand Team for making our special day so memorable. Also, we LOVE the hotel's dog-friendly policy - it's refreshing to stay at a hotel that welcomes dogs of all sizes.

For the sake of full disclosure (LOL) I'm a regular at The SoHo Grand. That being said, I hadn't stayed there since late February 2020 and it was great to be back. The greeting I received from the front desk as well as every employee whether they knew me or not was friendly and welcoming. My room felt like it was MY room and it was perfect. I ate several meals at the SoHo Diner (part of the hotel) and my breakfasts and lunches were terrific. So was the service. Whether upstairs in my room, dining downstairs or in any of the common areas I felt safe and secure as all COVID protocols were followed to the letter. This trip was a combination business and pleasure and I look forward to returning later this month for another few days. I'll close with a BIG thank you SoHo Grand for another great stay.

Small, modern rooms, excellent mini bar selection, quiet for the bustling streets of Soho. Room service could use some improvement, and Soho Diner is the only (& main) downfall of this establishment. Murat, the GM and his staff were excellent, on point, and the food is excellent. Great location and practical space for a NYC trip. PS Everything was disinfected and followed the COVID-19 safety precautions.

Ty67, Thank you so much for taking the time to share you experience. Murat and his team care about the details and we're thankful you took the time to recognize. They've just reopened the Grand Bar & Lounge and it is beginning to feel like old (socially distanced) times. My sincerest apologies for your concerns with the Soho Diner, we would love the opportunity to welcome you back to ensure you have the experience we intend, please reach out at your convenience. We look forward to welcoming you back to the hotel. Warm Regards, Lauren

We recently had our wedding in NYC during the height of covid. The event was incredibly special and so much of it is thanks to the staff and accommodations at the SoHo grand. We were very fortunate to work with Kelley who connected us with Murat who simply went above and beyond for us. The hotel was spotless and they did everything to keep is clean and safe. We stayed in the North suite and anyone would be lucky to stay in such a 5-star room.

So, oddly enough - I chose this hotel based on a variety of factors, including price, and other reviews. I had it down to three or four, but I knocked my number one out for price (which with hidden fees - this would have been the same) and I took out another because there were repeated problems with billing. Well, that should have also been a non-issue, because after trying to resolve the minibar problem with the Soho Grand, I tell you - I passed on the $8.50 Snickers candy bar, but got charged for it - or heaven knows what, anyway. Plus, the amenity fee of around $40 per night that gets tacked on, at - wait for it - check-out. So, add $50 to your room charge in your head when you book here, per night. The room was fine. It was comfortable enough. I tried calling the front desk and the concierge desk in the morning without answer for a long time. No one was near the ground floor at check-in. The front desk staff was average and slightly confrontational, long before she got to me and my amenity fee problem, because lots of people had problems and solutions seemed difficult. I won't stay here again. I was ready to like, heck - love it, but the aftertaste of trying to sort this out - it's not good. I read another review that said that they were surprised after several nights with several rooms with $700 of amenity fees (in a pandemic, when you can't enjoy half the hotel, anyway) - I bet that was delightful and I saw I'm not the first person to get charged for the minibar without any resolution. So, instead of enjoying whatever it was that I was supposed to have enjoyed from the minibar, I'll share that you might have billing problems - you might like this hotel, but - I've stayed at quite a few hotels in New York over the past month, I've been in NY for a few months this summer for business - this is the only one getting a bad review. You can do a lot better for quite a bit less. I promise. I recommend choosing your runner-up.

Dear Imm74792, We are grateful you chose to stay with us, and apologize profusely for the shortcomings your review details. From the mistaken minibar charges, we will absolutely do better to resolve in future. There is a manager at reception 24/7 on the second floor, and I apologize that we were not able to rectify this matter sooner. We do have do have a team member stationed on the ground floor to assist with temperature taking and assisting guests, we will work diligently to make sure their presence is felt. I see you are an avid traveler, with many reviews and would truly appreciate the opportunity to invite you back to our hotel to ensure we get it right. I would love to be able to speak with you at your convenience further about your experience and begin to turn this review around to a positive one. I hope to hear from you soon. Sincerely, Lauren lconolanrichards@sohogrand.com
