Great hotel , in a great location to visit New York . Near Chinatown. Rooms are very good for NYC , very clean , bed very large and comfortable. Pets Allowed and got a park to walk them for guests . Breakfast wasn’t amazing and service slow . But plenty of other choice we didn’t try . So to be tried .! There is a diner part of the hotel that we didn’t try . Also a great delicatessen next door. Service at the entrance was very good . Doormen were super friendly , and reception was very nice and check in and out were very fast . Overall I recommend and will stay there on my next visit to NYC

I read through the negative reviews to better understand why the 3.5 rating on Yelp... honestly our stay was exceptional- to the point where at certain moments it feels like a 5 star hotel... Prosecco upon checkin, early check in if they have enough rooms, great doormen who get your bags and take them to your room in a super busy area... this one doorman had been working there two decades !! He was fabulous and I wish I remembered his name... From my first phone connection with Mark Perez asking that our Amex room upgrade please be denoted, I was impressed... he asked about our trip and I explained it was an auspicious time of year as Persian new year and we were meeting family- then also as a front line worker feeling burnt out and ready to unplug... he shared his wife is also a therapist and he understood ... upon checking in Andrew made us feel like family and Genesis was a doll with our various questions ... the room and bottle of wine with gorgeous card brought tears to our eyes- when your job is to care for others being cared for means a lot !! We ate at all three spots (diner / lounge / jazz club) and they were all tasty and fresh flavors- drinks were excellent !! Music from DJ in lobby bar and jazz in jazz club where fabulous!!!! No cover charge !!! Just table time limits which are fair. We fell in love and will be back - PLUS- they allow dogs !!!

I recently stayed at the Soho Grand Hotel for a short business trip. I stayed two nights and thoroughly enjoyed my experiences with the hotel. Check in was quick and flawless, my room was clean and inviting. I had a view of the hotels dog park from my room and though I didn't have dogs with me, I appreciated how dog friendly this hotel is. I ate breakfast in the Grand Bar both mornings and the food came out quickly and was delicious. The service was friendly and attentive. I ordered room service (also from the Grand Bar) for dinner on my second night and was surprised by how quickly it arrived. One of the best French Onion Soups I've ever had! Too soon my stay was over and check out was as efficient as check in and the men on the doors went above and beyond. I can't wait to go back!

Absolutely stunning hotel in the heart of everything. Perfectly sized rooms and comfortable beds with incredible amenities, service and views! From the moment we arrived, we were treated incredibly well, despite having to stand around for 10 minutes while we were on hold with the bank as they froze our Visa! They were very patient with us and got us a table with some water. Bonus points are that it is dog-friendly. We did not travel with our dog, but got our fill by also visiting the Best Friends Animal Shelter across the road. We were moments from shopping, dining, drinks, and entertainment, and will definitely choose this spot as our next hotel stay when we are in NYC!

The rooms were so big compared to most NYC hotels that I've stayed in. The hardware and amenities were fantastic and definitely worth the price. Also the staff is insanely attentive and went out of their way to help me wrap a gift at the last minute.

The room and building were beautiful and chic. But the walls are thin enough that I heard a dog barking next door for most of the night, a generator or something like it was humming and buzzing all night which interfered with sleep, and the free wifi was not good enough to stay steady or allow us to watch Netflix as advertised. The tv setup is clumsy and difficult to use. I got the sense the mediocre wifi was in an effort to force you to pay for the more expensive wifi package. Otherwise, it’s a physically beautiful place.

Dear LauraMDorf, Thank you for taking the time to review. We apologize for your noisy neighbor, and are working with our guests to mitigate any consistent barking. The buzzing you noted is something we aren't as familiar with and are looking into. Our complimentary Wi-Fi is 20MB and premium is 30MB, we work with Sonifi and Spectrum to provide and apologize that your service sounded less than desirable. If you could reach out to me at your convenience, I would love the opportunity to connect as we cannot locate a reservation under your username and would like the opportunity to resolve your concerns. Hope to hear from you soon. Lauren lconolanrichards@sohogrand.com

I have been to soho grand a number of times. For personal outings but primarily for business functions. Having spent a lot of money on both occasions. The last few times myself and my colleagues noticed that we are being charged by the doorman $100 dollars to gain entrance! Considering how much money people spend . I find that extremely ridiculous, he is rude and extremely arbitrarily with who he makes pay and who doesn’t! I will be taking my business elsewhere!

Hi Nicholas We appreciate your kind words about our hotel. The increased natural sunlight from our double windows is always a favorite of our guests in our Deluxe Corner King room. That combined with the shops and eateries within and below is a Soho Grand staple and we hope to have you experience it with us again soon. Warm regards Marcus

Let me say that I don’t normally don’t do reviews but the soho grand hotel is top notch. From the moment you walk in you feel special, and are greeted with friendly people and smiles. The rooms are impeccably clean, and the staff is professional and so nice to talk to. From the moment we sat down we were greeted by Remington in the lobby and he really made our experience that much more special and welcoming. I could not pick a better place for a bachelorette. Will definitely visit again!

My wife and I decided Soho would be the best NYC location for an anniversary weekend celebration in mid-March. The Soho Grand proved to be the best hotel in the area (maybe in all of NYC) as they delivered at the highest level on everything. The prosecco and special pastry creations were a welcome surprise, and an upgrade to room 1110 (corner views) was excellent as well. Our anniversary stay was made all the more special by the staff's attentive and thoughtful gestures. We are glad we stopped in at the hotel bar on 2nd fl. The bartenders are accomplished and professional, while making outstanding cocktails amidst a fabulous atmosphere. We will always consider Soho Grand first whenever we plan future visits to NYC. 5-stars all-around.
