My colleagues and I stayed here in this hotel for 2 weeks and overall it was a great experience. The location is great as it is near a lot of great places in NYC like the garment district, Times Square and Grand Central. They have a rooftop bar where you can have some drinks while looking out on a great...

This was my fourth time staying at Shelburne NYC and I still love the place for all of the reasons I have previously reported: location, room size, friendly staff, free wine hour, etc. But on this visit there were a couple of annoyances that tainted my stay. My main gripe involves a $25 per night Hotel Facilities Fee that is...

The Hotel is well located being close to Grand Central Station (about a 5 minute walk) and the Empire State Building and Macy's are about 15 minutes in the opposite direction. Rooms are clean although a little tired; there was a hiccup made when getting our rooms as we had booked a twin and a double but this was quickly...

I was an avid visitor to New York in past years and as I decided to return I knew I wanted to stay in Manhattan but just a tad bit off the beaten path. This hotel was everything I wanted. The location was close enough for us to walk everywhere. The Empire State building can be viewed from the street....

My girlfriend and I have just returned to London after a 5-night stay at the Shelburne NYC (11th-16th Feb) and we would highly recommend it! Located on Lexington Avenue at 37th Street it is an easy 5-10 minute walk to Grand Central; 15 minutes to the Empire State Building and 20 minutes to Times Square. As well as being the...

The hotel is well-placed for walking to Grand Central (5-10 mins), the subway (5-10 mins), Time Square (5-10 mins), etc. Staff are definitely pleasant and helpful. Rooms are definitely spacious and well-appointed but are looking a little tired. Obviously fixtures, fittings, walls, doors, etc get battered every day by guests who have no respect but there could be an opportunity...

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
