Despite other reviews, this was a terrible place to stay. We usually stay at the Rodger which was closed due to Covid. Dump, chipped paint, 120 degrees in the room, filthy, no maid service, shampoo/ conditioner not replenished.

ONLY giving one star for the heated pool and location. Our room was so small and dirty. Stains on the carpet and ceiling, dirty shower, broken lamp, horrible view, only 1 mirror in the entire room (located in the TINY bathroom), no microwave, no ice machines, and the bedding was so stiff it could stand on it’s own. This hotel had very little staff, we could never get anyone to answer at the front desk or anywhere for that matter. The staff at the Cafecito and Oasis pool bar and grill were beyond rude! I will never return to this hotel and I would never recommend to anyone!

This is a decent hotel -- though for me the neighborhood is the selling point. But their practices are very deceptive -- basic bait and switch. They offer one price for a room, then tack on close to $200 in fees to the total. This is way more than most other hotels. Even their offer of a certain amount to "spend" on their canteen is deceptive -- they price everything just slightly higher so that it limits how many items you can get each day. Amazingly, they continue to get away with this. My rating is primarily for these practices -- which I find disrespectful to their guests.

Stayed at Affinia for a 3 night stay as a birthday escape from Brooklyn. This was my third stay. Tucked away on Lexington Ave in midtown Manhattan, it was an absolute pleasure to stay. Because of COVID, I was a little skeptical. My fears were calm when I saw a sticker placed on each of the unoccupied rooms. It was superbly clean and even the tv remotes were placed in plastic. Room was large and bed was comfy. Loved it.
