We arrived in New York on 12th August. Our room was ready when we checked in. The room...despite booking a standard Queen was a small double. There was one small cupboard which housed the iron and ironing board therefore no space to hang clothes so...More
Weekly NYC business traveler - have top tier loyalty at Hilton and Marriott/SPG properties all across midtown and this is my favorite for the price. Jazz decor accompanied by an occasional jazz trio adds boutique character and charm to the lobby which spills right into...More
I try to stay at Marriott properties when I travel and take advantage of the Autograph collections if I can. I found one in NYC, at 48th and Lexington, so thought I'd give it a try. The lobby is very nice as is the bar/eating...More
In the heart of the city - somewhat off the hustle setting, located on Lexington Ave. Nice amenities for Marriott platinum members including welcome reception and complementary breakfast. Overall, classic place with a fabulous location.
Avoid room 934 as we could get no rest at all from the noise from a ventilation duct outside the window and the terrible clattering noise coming from adjacent lift shaft. Never slept at all and although they took off some of our bar bill...More

This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the
affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

Many New York hotels have added a mysterious fee on top of the room rate. If you call and book directly instead of using a third party booking site, they may "waive" those fees. The Lexington did not have a fee when we visited in June. Room taxes and governmental fees will be added to the room rate. Better to get an "all in" quote on one of the booking sites so that you are not surprised by the taxes.
