Such a great hotel and location. Staff was great especially Nicole H! She made my mom feel so special on her 60th birthday! The rooms are hit or miss for size, some are spacious others aren’t. Always very clean and beautiful though!
The Lexington Hotel makes me feel like Eloise at The Plaza. The staff is welcoming and SO helpful. Lisset knows my name, she knows the room I like, and goes that extra mile to make NYC feel a little less hectic. Jenny is always on the lookout for me and handles anything I need with a smile. Virgina, Nicole, Donna are also always on the case no matter what it is. The rooms are larger because the building is an older historic property. Newer hotels may be "cooler" or "chicer" but a hotel in a great location with bigger rooms and quick access to Grand Central and all other midtown sites makes travel to NYC easier. I always choose the Lexington and will return again and again.
This was easily top 3 most uncomfortable hotel stays I've had in my life, and I travel a lot for business and pleasure. The staff was wonderful, but the condition of the hotel room specifically was atrocious for the price. I paid $2,300 and had a leaking toilet and leaking shower that left the tiled bathroom floor sopping wet after every shower. Several towels and the shower curtain were dirty, but I guess it didn't matter because I needed those towels to sop up the floor after every shower. I know this is the fault of the laundry service and certainly not hotel housekeeping (they were excellent). The wallpaper was peeling and it looks like they painted the ceiling and re-grouted around the bathroom, but paint dripped on everything...all over the floor, wallpaper, even the toilet. The grout was crumbling all over the floor. Since there was so much standing water and really old carpet, the room smelled like dirty socks or the inside of a hockey bag after every shower (mostly the carpet area at the front entrance closest to the bathroom). The back of the room near the bed and radiator smelled like urine. The carpet needs to be ripped out, it was truly disgusting. The toilet had an auto flusher installed at one point (why on earth would you add this to a hotel toilet) but it had since been disabled, so you had to override it to flush each time. I don't know if all rooms are in this condition, but I do not recommend staying here for the price. Positive feedback - comfy bed and pillows, big bathroom, lots of clothes hangers, and a large desk. Location is fantastic. This hotel has potential to be wonderful, but they need to gut these rooms and do a proper renovation. …
This visit was beyond disappointing. Great location but terrible service we had no towels at check-in and we called down several times to inquire with no answer. The room heater was noisy and did not work right. The breakfast buffet was terrible, food was way over cooked and lastly the remodel they did falls way short. Just a tremendous disappointment.
My stay at this hotel was amazing. I called to get extra information before booking and I spoke with Philip, he was so kind and informative. We were lucky to check in with him too! He upgraded us to a comfortable room and honestly he deserves 5 stars on his own! The hotel was absolutely stunning, the staff was great. During breakfast I believe he was a manager but he went up to everyone and said hello and made sure the food was good. I would 100% be booking this hotel when I come back to NY! Above and beyond service! The manager that extended our stay was amazing as well!
We have had consistently amazing experiences at the Lexington hotel in New York. Because of that we are going back again. We just booked three more nights this week. We know there are a lot of choices in New York for hotels and we have stayed at many but the management at the Lexington keeps us coming back. Manager Johnson was amazing last time. We've had wonderful interactions with Kelvin Rodriguez and Randy Cabral. Can't wait. We hope to see them all again. We couldn't ask for a better experience and the consistency is remarkable. This hotel has very nice staff and a beautiful lobby but the horns outside constantly kept me awake at night. The bed wasn’t comfortable, people next door were arguing for hours on end and it took over 2 hours to get in the room. Not going back here. If you want to stay here, I suggest doing it when it’s not during the holidays.
Shout out to Nicole at the main desk for her professional service coupled with a gracious and positive attitude. Really appreciate the care with which Marriott selects top notch service personnel. It changes everything about the hotel experience!! Thank you Nicole
I’ve stayed at this hotel a few times. The rooms are clean and the property looks really good. Kudos tot the Housekeeping and Engineering teams. The Front Desk team remembers my name. That is very impressive being that I’ve stayed here maybe 5 or 6 times. The standout is Philippe. He had checked me in maybe twice. He is really good at this position. He is personable. and friendly. I work in the hotel industry so when I experience his hospitality, I have a much bigger appreciation to see someone that loves their be great at it. This hotel should be feel lucky to have an employee that can affect GGS is a positive manner. Kush at the bar ( my apologies if I misspelled his name) he is great at being a bartender. Has the ear for the guests and a conversationalist. He also takes pride in the way he prepares his cocktails. Presentation is everything and he definitely has it.…
Hotel and room/amenities are just as I remember it. Nicole at the Front Desk took care of check in and made the process smooth. She was able to answer questions before I even had a chance to ask. Thank you! I have just checked in for a business trip after a hiatus from traveling to NYC on business since before the pandemic. I’m sure I’ll be back when I visit next.
