You can’t beat this location and price. Walking distance to most places, with the subway and Grand Central conveniently close by. Stayed here 4 years ago and as great as I remembered We checked in with Philippe and he was wonderful! So welcoming and helpful Keep in mind that this hotel is 100+ years old, in mid town. Rooms/bathrooms are small. Air circulation / thermostat is great though There is a full gym in the basement (Crunch) which is excellent to use, better than a regular hotel gym An abundance of restaurants & coffee shops close by, with a wide variety of cuisines and price ranges The staff for room service / front desk / valet are all extremely friendly. They have umbrellas available to borrow for rainy days The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the Destination Fee. It is $35/day, however it is more of a credit that you can apply at the Stayton room on the main floor. This initially sounds great, however their breakfast brunch is $30 (very basic, no omelette or crepe station, your typical continental breakfast) or drinks ranging from $15-$25 each which is very high, even for a hotel lounge. If you stay a few days and get a few of these cards, you cannot combine them for one seating either All in all… I would stay here.. AGAIN!!

Another AMAZING stay at The Lexington Autograph Collection. This was our family’s second trip to this particular property in the last 6 months. We decided to head back once the weather warmed up to explore Central Park among other parts of the city with our 4yo daughter. The location of this hotel is outstating! Close enough to all the culture without being overwhelmed by mid-town chaos. Walking distance to many thing and access to subway hub 15 blocks away. A nice mix of business types and non-business types. Definitely a safe feeling for our family at this location and zero riff raff hanging around. I think the door men do a good job of keep it moving out front. The real shining star here is the staff in our opinion. Friendly, outgoing, and accommodating. We were there 3 days and must have interacted with one of the GM's, Randy probably a half dozen times while coming and going. It was nice to see hotel brass accessible to the guests and engaging with them. The staff was quick to answer every question we had and addressed every need. If they couldn’t grant a request, they offered an alternative solution for us. Our room was clean and smelled FRESH! You know that fresh room smell – total game changer. Lastly – this place offers an AWESOME breakfast each morning. VERY fresh fruit, eggs, potatoes, a protein, milks, juices, and an oatmeal bar. A fantastic way to start your day in NYC and save some cash! At breakfast each day we were greeted by Stephanie and Omega at the hostess stand and they made us feel very comfortable and welcomed. Do yourself a favor and book a stay her for business or pleasure any time of year. Whether traveling with your family or a colleague, you absolutely cannot go wrong with The Lexington!

I have been a fan of the Lex for a number of years. I was really bummed when it closed down for Covid, and rejoiced to see it open again. I like the style and history of the property, the cleanliness, the location and the excellent customer service. The other thing that I appreciate is that the Lex treats frequent Marriott Elite guests well, recognizing that for folks who travel frequently, little touches matter and the perks that come with that status are earned, and mean a lot to the guest. Well done Lexington!

The location is great, and the room was pretty quiet. However, we were shocked by the amenities fee. They charge $35 a day and then say you can use vouchers for the bar, breakfast, or dry cleaning. Breakfast costs one voucher PER PERSON. It’s a very generic eggs, sausage, fruit, bread buffet. Even for NYC, that’s not $35! We asked to opt out of this and were told we could not, although I just read of other guests who were allowed to. There was not a mini fridge nor water in the room, so I’m not sure what kind of amenities we were paying for. We also went to the bar one night and ordered 2 glasses of Malbec, gave a voucher, and were still charged $20. So $55 for 2 glasses of Malbec?? Additionally, we have been to hotels all over the world and this is the first time we have ever been charged by the hotel to just store our luggage until our room was ready. How is this even a thing?? Very disappointed. We will not be staying again.

What a great hotel to celebrate an anniversary (26 years ago we spent our honeymoon n NYC). The accommodations were nice and spacious. We had a nice view of the city from our corner room. There is a nice restaurant in the hotel and a few others which are walking distance from the hotel such as the Lexington Brass and Joe's Dumplings NYC. There is a nice coffee shop across the street Ole & Steen. Shout outs to the staff are a must for great service, help, and recommendations. Thanks to Lisset, Nicole, Marcie and Breda. And of course the doormen Juan (and only) and Derrick who had me download the Curb app for taxis. Curb is cheaper than Lyft and Uber. The app was convenient. Final props to the manager Kelvin Rodriquez for giving me suggestions on how I could teach my online class in the evenings and so much more. We will be back again. We were treated like family. Thanks again to everyone at the Lexington Hotel.

Don’t let the few bad reviews cast any doubt. I’m glad I didn’t because I really enjoyed my extended weekend at the Lexington. The vibe of this hotel is awesome, especially for “post” pandemic travel. It’s gorgeous too. It’s not your typical hotel decor/lobby. In fact, I was pleasantly surprised to see how many people were there and active in the lobby. The restaurant bar was reasonably full and it was nice to see hotel/travel coming back to life. The person I dealt with at the front desk was awesome. Really warm welcoming and friendly. I believe her name was Marci. (I hope I got that right). We stayed in a room on the 24th floor and really enjoyed it. It was a reasonable size considering we are in the heart of New York City. Speaking of which, the location is such a gem. It’s far enough from Times Square yet close enough to the action. No matter which direction you take you’ll find something to do. Everything’s walkable and accessible. We had the same room staff every day and she was awesome. Always smiling when we saw her in the hallway and made sure we had everything we needed as far as towels and face cloths. Our room always looked great when we came back. My stand out memory was in the dining area. We went down for brunch, which by the way is a really good brunch. And we were greeted by Omega the Food & Beverage Director. He spent time talking to us to find out how we were enjoying the experience, whether we liked the food and the service, and made sure that we were enjoying our stay. He even made arrangements with us to connect with one of his managers Malik in the evening to extend the hospitality even further. And the bar staff definitely knows how to mix a good drink. At the end of the day for me it’s the little things that make an experience at the hotel awesome. From the hotel desk to our room attendant to the hospitality in the restaurant/bar to the front door guys (who are so warm and fun) there is not a doubt in my mind that we’ll be back.

The Lexington Hotel has been our “go to” hotel in New York since before the pandemic. We eagerly awaited it’s reopening. The hotel is one of the Marriott Autograph Hotels, meaning it is a unique property. It has several connections with history and celebrities, as the Marilyn Monroe pictures attest. It has a good midtown location at Lexington Avenue and East 48th Street. The rooms are clean and quiet. It’s an old building, so the walls are thick. We like it a lot, but there are negatives. The rooms are on the smell side. The bar is closed on weekends, at least at the time we visited. There was no breakfast buffet at the time we visited either. I am assuming these kinks have been ironed out. The pricing is pretty attractive for Manhattan.

I am a noise sensitive traveler and understood that a quiet room in New York City would be challenging. I can tell you that both Arlene and Randy went way out of their way to provide me with several options at the Lexington hotel. Their efforts made all the difference as I had a wonderful stay and slept very well. I would definitely return!

Once home to Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio, you'd think the design team at Marriott would respect the bones of The Lexington and preserve the classy atmosphere. Elements of authentic architectural details are still present, but the interior decor of the public spaces and rooms are hideously decorated with cartoony wall murals, ugly furniture and nightmarish wall paper . Location very convenient, staff pleasant and good breakfast. We were not told about the "destination fees" which add 12% to the bill.
