Other reviews have talked about the small rooms, they are, but they have everything you need, except space. I found 3 places to eat in my 3 day stay: A Steak and Lobster sports bar, which I wandered around a couple of times, without anyone showing any interest in showing me to a table, a rather expensive grill and sushi...

This hotel looks amazing from the outside along with the lobby. However we booked through Thompson travel agents and was sold a superior room however what we got was basic of the basic. No functioning window and so small you could barely walk around the bed. It was very depressing to be in. The shower and toilet are in the...

My husband and I just spent a night at the Sanctuary Hotel this past weekend. We went up to NYC to see a Broadway show, and decided to stay overnight rather than taking a train right home afterwards. We found the hotel online, and were impressed by the pictures on the website, and the relatively reasonable price for accommodations. When...

My partner and I usually agree on travel accommodations. This one we are at odds. We stayed four nights averaging $440 per night with tax, so not an inexpensive property. It sounds like other travelers did far better on their rates that we did. I saw the property on our last visit to NYC. The name was intriguing and the...

Before our driver had even got the handbrake on, the concierge were out getting our bags, and offering a very welcome hot drink, and letting reception know who we were before we even stepped foot inside the hotel, thus making our check in very smooth. The service was wonderful. The hotel has an amazing ambience, I loved the lighting, &...

I usually stay at larger chain hotels, but was traveling with a friend who picked this hotel. I'm so glad she did! The entrance was quite welcoming as well as the lobby had great decorations and was beautiful. The room was a double with two double beds and one bathroom. The bathroom was tiny as well as the closet. But...

If you book this at a discount, I think you'll be satisfied: central location, clean room, comfy bed, fantastic shower. But if you pay full price thinking you'll get a higher-end experience, you could do a lot better. The rooms are very small, which in itself isn't terrible, but from what I experienced, they aren't user-friendly. Very little place to...

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
