This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

If you are looking for a hotel look no further , you will not be disappointed. All staff - to name a few Andrew (concierge) Jame and Liam (front desk) were extremely knowledgeable, helpful and very kind . Breakfast was a buffet style , it was clean the rooms are great and the bed so comfortable ! I can’t rate this hotel high enough , it was so nice in every conceivable way . The doormen were also on hand to help and a stones throw from Times Square .

We had a nice stay here! This hotel is located close to Times Square and we found it easily accessible. Pros: They offer guest free passes to NYSC about two blocks down - we found that to be a nice perk! The guest rooms were clean and the bed was pretty comfortable. We liked the decor and the complimentary breakfast was great! Cons: They told us to park at the 38W 46th street garage for a discounted rate of $40 -which is pretty good for NYC. We were leaving in the morning for JFK so when I checked in at this garage I asked how long it would take to get my car the next morning and I was told "2 minutes." Okay then. When we went there the next morning (keep in mind we have a flight leaving shortly) there was no one in line. There were FOUR employees there however. I walk up to the booth and the guy there just ignores me for a good three minutes while he is stapling papers and on the computer. Again, no one in line. When he finally graces me with acknowledging my presence, I told him I was picking up my car and we have a flight. From this point it took the TWENTY TWO minutes to retrieve my car. Four employees, no line and over twenty minutes to get one car. A couple arrived after me and got their car within five minutes. I have no idea what could have taken them this long but I asked for a manager and was given the brush off and told that the employees "don't usually work this location" so they didn't know where my car was. When they finally brought my car out, there was no apology, no explanation, nothing. While I understand this is not the fault of the hotel, they partner with this garage and we had to rush to JFK which caused a lot of stress to our morning and just made our flight. This is really inexcusable. If you are to stay at this hotel - park elsewhere. We were also woken at FOUR AM by guests in the next room SCREAMING fighting. IDK who thinks that is acceptable but if it lasted a few minutes longer I was going to have to call the front desk to ask them to come up. I kept hearing thud noises and was worried that someone was getting hurt. Not a great way to start the day as I couldn't get back to sleep but I suppose that is not the fault of the hotel

Dear Connecticut814, I appreciate greatly your feedback and thank you for sharing your experience at the SP+ Parking Garage. Coincidentally, I spoke with you the day of your departure in reference to the garage, I remember it quite clearly! For what you experienced I do apologize but I feel I must reiterate a slight correction. The SP+ Parking Garage we are affiliated with is not run, operated, or owned by us. As an added amenity for our Guests, we do after a discounted rate of $40 per 24 hours (as opposed to $80.00) and most find this to be very accommodating. That being said, if w are telling our Guests to utilize the Garage, we should be confident that they will be given at minimum the base level of service we provide to our Guests. I spoke to the garage after our conversation and explained to them the way your experience was handled was completely and totally unacceptable. I once again apologize that you went through what you did. We strive to create unique, unforgettable experiences for our Guests and feedback such as yours allows us to grow and reflect on our service. If and when you plan to come to New York again, please reach out to me and we will be certain to take care of you once more and show you our commitment to service! Dear belindamulh0lland Thank you very much indeed for your feedback! Whilst I can certainly appreciate the boon our location had in your assessment of our hotel it does sadden my to hear (read) you found us wanting in other matters. My lack of familiarity with boudoirs notwithstanding, the majority of our Guests find the subdued colors to be relaxing after the hustle bustle and lights of the city; we are a Sanctuary after all! Having said that, I will make certain your feedback is forwarded to the appropriate departments, specifically in reference to your saying that a Room Attendant through out your drinks! For this I do apologize. We strive to create unique, unforgettable experiences for our Guests and feedback such as yours allows us to grow and reflect on our service. I'm going to split this hotel review up into two halves, the good and the bad. We travelled from London for a 5night stay booking through Virgin for essentially a sightseeing city escape. Starting off with the good the staff were always polite, any problem we had or anything we asked was never a problem. The hotel is located central New York, alot of the typical sightseeing attractions are in walking distance. It's also bed and breakfast so being able to wake up and not worry about your first meal is nice. The room was also always kept nice clean and tidy. Now onto some of the more underwhelming parts of out stay. The rooms are very small, this is made worse by the fact that the hotel has a very dark theme going all the way through. Our room had windows but let in no light atall. The bed was extremely uncomfortable it felt like the mattress was so worn I was laying slanted towards the headboard. The room also had DIY issues like wallpaper coming away from the wall at the bottom of the windows due to mould (which had been stapled back) and the metal on the headside lamp was flaking. The door to the bathroom was just a slide door which didnt close properly unless you slammed it into the track on the wall. Also the door to the room feels like it doesn't close securely, once closed, you can rattle the door about. I'm not sure if this is the reason you can hear alot of outside noise from your room. Overall we had a fairly good experience at the sanctuary hotel I think the good outweighs the bad. I would recommend this hotel if your staying for a short trip and need somewhere in central New York.

Dear Jack Arnold, I would firstly like to thank you kindly for your generous compliments of the staff, it is ever our goal to provide complete and total Guest Service; I will make certain the staff are made aware of your comments. It is unfortunate that such wonderful feedback must come bundled with your disappointment in reference to your room. I would be very much interested, if it would not much trouble you, to reach out in reference to your stay and the room you were in as your comments are extremely distressing! Comfort, be it though the interactions with our Guests, or through our beds, is of paramount importance and I would like to have a chance to discuss your particular stay in depth. We strive to create unique, unforgettable experiences for our Guests and feedback such as yours allows us to grow and reflect on our service.I can be reached directly at star@sanctuaryhotelnyc.com or via the telephone at 1-212-382-0860. I thank you once more for taking the time to leave your feedback and look forward to speaking with you further. James Valdez Guest Services Manager The Sanctuary Hotel
