Amazing hotel right on times square, room was lovely staff were excellent the door man was brilliant always struck up a conversation when coming in and out, 5 star service was our first visit to new York and will absolutely be back to stay at paramount.
This was our second visit to this loverly eloquent chic hotel. On arrival we were met with a smile and pleasantly greeted by the door staff. The check in was both very quick and undertaken by a very pleasant gentleman at the reception desk. This was really pleasing after a long tiring journey. We were allocated a room on the 15 floor (no 1505). From the very first instance we felt entirely safe and secure and were really impressed at the cleanliness of the lobby lifts and corridors within the Paramount. On entering our room we found it to be quite spacious with a king size bed a lot of luggage space TV telephone and in room safe. The bathroom was again very adequate for our 4 night stay. The hygiene standards are very high at this hotel and we found the bed and bed linen to be exceptionally comfortable and very clean. The hotel is superbly located for using all forms of transport in New York and Broadway shows. More importantly you can easily walk to a lot of New York attractions. Central Park between 20 to 30 min walk, Empire State again betwee 20 to 30 mins walk. Maceys, Grand Central Station 5th Ave for shopping and many others are within easy walking distance. As it very close to Hells Kitchen you will certainly not be short of places to eat. Can't wait to revisit this beautiful charming safe secure and more importantly very clean hotel. …
We were supposed to stay at the Paramount in early April for several days, then again in early July for a couple of nights. Unfortunately, the pandemic put all of our 2020 vacation plans on indefinite hold. However, we had no problems canceling our hotel arrangements. Expedia and the Paramount worked to make good on any prepaid deposits or fees, and it was quite simple to get refunds, especially when compared to dealing with some other companies we’ve had to contact. We appreciate their service and will be happy to use Expedia and to stay at the Paramount again, whenever we may be able to travel to NYC in the future!
We booked our trip long before COVID changed everything. When travel started to fall apart, we received a personal email from Joe Kavanagh, the manager. Over the next few months, he and I would communicate back and forth from time to time regarding the state of travel. When our flight was changed, he was prompt, professional and understanding and sought to help us alter our hotel reservation. Well, now, our entire trip had to be cancelled and he has been nothing but wonderful. This would have been our third or fourth stay at the Paramount and we will 100% stay again.
I stayed at the Paramount in October 2019 and I was charged more than what I had booked for. After returning to my home town I still kept getting charges from the hotel which had nothing to do with my booking. I called and emailed them in several occasions and all they say is that it's my bank's problem. I have spoken to my bank many times and it is not their problem. I travel all around the world for work and this has NEVER happened to me. Let alone the fact that it's now been more than 6 months. I simply don't understand how a hotel management can let this happen. Be careful if you hook this hotel.
