We took the kids away to NYC and stayed in times square at the Marriott Marquis . The hotel is beautiful and modern and right in the middle of Times Square which is what we wanted. The rooms were spacious enough for the four of us ..the view was great. The beds were very comfortable. My only issue was with the lack of knowledge from most of the staff..I booked a breakfast package with the room..when I asked about this once we were there they told me that there were no restaurants open on the hotel ..except for a cafe in the gift shop where we could buy breakfast. They finally agreed to refund that money (initially it was a $30 per day “free $” at the gift shop..ah no thank you “. One night we decided to call for “little bites” bc it was late and we were hungry and the menu was on the TV/hotel info so we figured maybe it was prepackaged food, etc..we waited on hold a good 5 minutes before my husband called the front desk who said “oh no I am sorry ..that isn’t open”...I don’t blame the hotel for the pandemic or for the restaurants/room service being closed but it’s been over a YEAR and they can’t make sure that there is some update on both their own platforms as well as booking, etc? I was disappointed in the Marriott . I honestly expect better from Them. And while all of the front desk people were very nice no one seemed to know what they were doing ..that said we had a great time !

Don't know how else to put it. Looks like a great breakfast too! I think this could actually be one of the best places in New York, but I'm not sure. I have to say, the view in particular looks really good. But then, you probably knew that. Also if you're reading this, you're probably a techy. Clever isn't it, what I'm doing?

Love this place, consistent, and in the center of everything! They have the operation down pat to run such a massive hotel! The room was clean, the restaurant was nice (a bit pricey but it’s the center of Times Square) and the elevators are very fast for such a big place. Also a sBux connected which is great!!

Really sweet Hispanic Jersey girl at front desk was amazing but as I put in the title, the bell staff are tip-hungry. The man handing out luggage tickets was miserable and rude. Even worse was the head bellman who became upset when I told him I’d give him a tip after my wife came back to the room with my wallet (I had nothing on me other than my phone - maybe he takes Apple Pay?). Just a real shame.

COVID procedures was full force, very reassuring. I got a room facing Times Square - was told it was recently renovated. Clean, modern, and functional as expected. There is construction on a few floors and the noise can be loud but usually ends by 5pm. No food, bar, or snacks are available in the hotel - good thing is that everything is within walking distance. Sadly the entire city is quiet. I miss the Broadway shows.
