I've stayed in this hotel twice, the last time was in May 2015, and I absolutely love this hotel. Set in a quieter location than some hotels in NY but still within easy walking distance of Grand Central Station (less than 5 minutes walk) and many other iconic sights such as: Macy's, Times Square, The Empire State Building, Fifth Ave.... Rooms are old. Very small lobby space, Too expensive for that kind of room and kitchen equipment. It is in a very good location thats all... I will not book again. A regular hotel would be cheaper and much more nicer...

This is a no frills, somewhat outdated hotel... But who comes to NYC to spend time in a hotel room? It is a great location in mid-town and the rooms are huge. We were upgraded to a junior suite and it had a spacious sitting room/ dining area, small kitchenette and large bed area. I could definitely see staying here... More

I don't know why I'm not seeing this anywhere, but there is now a minimum 30 day stay required for this hotel. So sad. I've stayed here in the past and really enjoyed it - though I did get stuck in the elevator (but not too long). The rooms are quite large (basically larger than probably any other room in... More

My family and I had the opportunity to visit New York this summer for the month of July. Being from South Carolina and having limited knowledge about NYC, we were very anxious about where to stay. After much deliberation, we chose the Murray Hill East East Suites. We could not have made a better choice! The staff was wonderful, the... More

We have been staying at Murray Hill East since the early 1990's. It is a converted apartment building. You can rent a variety of configurations, we chose a one bedroom, one bathroom unit that had a kitchen, dining area and living room. The unit was clean although dated. The central location is terrific and you are left with the feeling that... More

If you are looking for a lowcost stay app. 20 minutes walking distance from Times Sq. This is Perfect!! Although the room looks like something from the 1970's it have all you posibly could want. I stayed 2 weeks in a so called studiosuite. It was a B I G room (app 50 sq.m.) with every thing you could possibly... More

We needed a room with 2 beds and a kitchen for 4 weeks in NYC. It's difficult to find a place that is affordable and has a legit booking process. The room itself was clean, large by NYC standards and comfortable. The staff at the front desk is very helpful. The hotel itself has a doorman and daily maid service... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
