The good things about this hotel is the location, free and fast wifi, and the bathroom was clean and with a good size. The room was very small, and You could look into the neighbour rooms, the toilet did not flush until third time You tried, It was a very noisy room into the backyard, didnt help on the jetlag..... Dear Guest, Thank you for staying at the NH New York Jolly Madison Towers and for the comments you have posted and are glad that generally you have had a pleasant stay. We normally suggest all modes of transportation from and to the airport not only the private car service, we cannot recommend one over the other. Best regards, More

Hotel is old but comfortable. Bathroom has been renovated and linen is nice. The bed is king size which is great. The TV is an old box style, not flatscreen. The decor and internal furnishings are old and very dated. The rooms aren't cheap, but it's New York and what we paid is standard here, but in another location I... More

Upon arrival my wife requested a king size bed. As there weren't any available at that time, the gentleman at the front desk advised us to check in later and he would have a room with a king. We left our bags and off we went. When we returned we were informed that we had been given an upgraded room.... More

For $225 a night I expected a cozy, clean room. What I got was a dingy, smelly, dirty room. No beg bugs though lol! But just absolutely terrible! The rate is what threw me off. For the money, next door you get super luxury. This hotel is straight up falling apart, paint chipping everywhere, sewage smells in the lobby. I... More

Dear Guest, We thank you for your feedback and we apologize for not meeting your expectations; the hotel is in a pre-renovations phase, the actual works will start in the near future. We were not aware of any "sewage smell in the lobby", it seems peculiar and we wish we would have know about it when you were here. Best... More

Great place to stay. Staff was very helpful and extremely nice. Also they helped us with areas to eat right around us and attractions to go see. Room was smaller then expected but with having a king size bed you can't really complain about space. Shower water was always nice and hot. Will be staying here again when I come... More

My husband and I stayed at this hotel from a Wednesday to Friday during August 2016. It was our first stay in the city and we couldn't have found a better hotel! We stayed on the 16th floor and had a view of the Empire State Building from our window. The room was a decent enough size and had a... More

Location of the hotel is the best thing about it. The lobby is fine but it all goes downhill after that. Holes in the curtains, stains on the carpets, doors desperately in need of a paint for about the past 5 years and to cap it all off a dog barking in room nearby, hardly a guide dog, it would... Hotel is a bit outdated, hallways are rather gloomy and unremarkable. Same for room, except it was quite large for Manhattan / this category. At $135.00/night on Priceline, not a real deal, but still a cheap room. No thrills, but I prefer space over other amenities. Glad I did checkout (not always doing it), as there were undue charges with... More

We stayed for a week in a twin double room which was spacious enough for our needs. The room was dated but clean, and the beds were changed daily. The bathroom was modern and, again, very clean with fresh towels every day. The biggest plus was the location, which is fantastic, in the heart of midtown, close to The Empire... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
