The Affinia Gardens continues to be our Manhattan home away from home. Our experience was fantastic on this return trip, as it has always been in the past. We received a warm welcome and much help from the bellmen Krys, Sal, and Michael, from the manager Pedro, and from Caprice at the front desk. Whenever we needed something (e.g., extra...

Stayed with my husband for a mini anniversary getaway, had a great time at the Affinia Gardens, our suite was clean and spacious, service was great, and location was practical on a fairly quiet street but still close to a lot of restaurants, Central Park, etc. Will be back!

My husband and I have just returned home ( Ireland) from a recent stay at Affinia Gardens, one of the best New York hotels we have stayed in. It felt like the nearest place to home. Location three blocks from Central Park. We felt we had the best room in the hotel with an outside patio. Every member of staff...

My family of 5 stayed just one night in NYC and this was the perfect hotel. The staff was very friendly and they even upgraded us to a larger suite. The front desk help (I think the names were Cafrice (sp?) and Sal) on Wednesday morning July 2nd was very helpful with luggage and letting us use the hotel bikes...

The hotel is well located, the rooms are large and confortable. Most of the staff is friendly. But some of the staff is not. When I made the reservation it said and still says: “Now when booking your room online on affinia.com receive complimentary Wi-Fi during your stay.”. Not exactly. It covers only one device. I was with my daughter...

We really enjoyed the Affinia. The suite afforded us a lot of room. Other than sleeping, we spent most of our time in the living area. The bathroom was small, but well-designed to maximize space. Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.

“They had a full size refrigerator, two burner stove, sink and many kitchen tools and dishes. We loaded up the fridge on day one for simple picnic meals and snacks. The hotel is not in the night life mix, so the neighborhood is fairly quite at night. You can hear traffic and sirens as they pass, so if you are a light sleeper, I recommend sleeping earmuffs”
