The hotel staff was great, the room clean and comfortable, and was close to Cornell Hospital. We booked a suite on line for a week for out of town family members when my dad was transferred to Cornell Hosp. He Passed away after a few days and the Hotel "volunteered" to refund from Expedia for the remainder of the days....

We stayed during the Holiday week (27th Dec 2016 to 3rd Jan 2017), so a very busy time. It is located on the Upper East Side opposite the Ear Nose Throat hospital, a CVS pharmacy/market is close by. It is about 3 blocks from Central park, and about a 15 min walk from the Plaza Hotel. We walked back from...

Just spent the holidays ( three weeks ) in NYC and stayed at the Affinia Gardens. We were a family of four and had a wonderful time. The hotel is extremely well located near shopping, museums, parks, and many restaurants. The staff was super kind and helpful and Chandra and Emma made sure everyday that everything was perfect. The one...

Very nicely situated hotel near many restaurants and pretty much within 10-12 blocks of anywhere i needed to go. No restaurant but not needed. a little noisy outside but where in NY do you get quiet. rooms are very large with kitchens and perfect if you're staying for several days. Only complaint is that the internet is very spotty and...

Gorgeous boutique hotel nestled on a quiet street. Staff is 5 star and extremely attentive and accommodating. Thank you kindly to Kris, Nigel, and Joseph! Hope to be back soon. Made our visit to NYC unforgettable. Large room accommodated us parents and 3 big teenaged boys.

I have been staying at the Affinia Gardens for close to 15 years. I have been here with my young children, with my now teen-aged children, with friends, and with extended family. I recommend the Affinia Gardens to all of my friends for its unbeatable combination of price, location, comfort, quiet, and friendly service.

We just got back home after our second stay at the Affinia Gardens Hotel. It is the perfect place to stay in NYC, given the spacious and clean rooms, as well as price! The staff is also really great, especially Michael. He was so helpful - really went out of his way.

Although the room could have been updated, the folks at the hotel made up for any shortcomings of amenities or niceties. We were visiting NY for medical reasons and the room, which was basically a full service apartment had everything we could possibly need. Everyone, for the most part, was very helpful and kind, especially Kris & Nigel. If you...

For many years, I have met friends in NYC for MLK weekend. We have had difficulty finding a hotel room with three beds for three adults without spending a small fortune. Spent a couple of nights in this hotel in the summer. The rooms are massive - perhaps unnecessarily. However everything is clean and well looked after. The staff are friendly and polite. The hotel serves a purpose for business trips which mine was. It is a bit far from the hustle and bustle but that is also a nice thing.

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
