Since first opening its doors in 1926, the InterContinental New York Barclay has welcomed countless guests to enjoy a luxurious residential-style experience in the heart of the city. Originally constructed as part of the Grand Central Terminal expansion, The Barclay became one of four...
We stayed here around the holidays (on Xmas night actually) in 2017 and we are already planning on doing the same thing for Xmas 2018. The Barclay is just a slice of old, sophisticated NYC charm that's convenient to both JFK and LaGuardia due to...More
Recently spent four nights here and I have to say that it is now my go to hotel in New York. Now that the Waldorf Astoria is closed down this hotel is really the best hotel in the area. Even better than say the New...More

As many have said "perfect location"! Walked everywhere, almost. Enjoyed our special Virtuoso check in area and lounge access. Food offerings there were outstanding; including pre dinner "snacks" like fresh shrimp and fruit with cheese. Barclays was our refuge! Thank you to all the staff!
The Barclay is perfectly positioned in mid town. The hotel is refined and grand. The lobby and bar are fabulous.
The rooms are unsurprisingly very small, as is expected in New York.

I've never left a review on Trip Advisor before, but after spending 8 nights at the Barclay I felt compelled to write. The only redeeming feature of this hotel is the location, and the bell staff. The front desk staff are incredibly rude. The housekeeping...More
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the
affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

Hi. I booked this hotel with a BA package and when you pay BA for the holiday, EVERYTHING is paid for in full. We just arrived home yesterday and had NO problems at all. They do take your credit card details while you're at the hotel, just in case you use the mini bar etc but when you check out, they take the hold off your card and print your bill at the end, showing a zero balance. Hope you have an amazing holiday :-)
