My mother and I found this hotel whilst walking the streets after being dropped off at our original hotel... which was disgusting! (Long story) the staff here were very helpful and accommodating, they were very sympathetic towards us and managed to book us in with out any trouble. For that we were so grateful!! The room was lovely and clean, breakfast was fab! The waffles were delicious. Great location. Definitely recommend!
So I have two experiences with this hotel. Most recently in early march I stayed for a quick one night stay. I had a corner room on the second floor (which was apparently an upgrade) and to be honest, it was a little drab. Just seemed to be dingy, dark and faded. The couch looked a little gross. This surprised me though because I had another one night stay here about 2 years prior in a more standard double queen room that was super nice, comfy and clean. However, both experiences were more expensive than they should have been. Perks are they do offer a nice lil breakfast in the mornings. Overall though, as a resident of midtown manhattan with frequent visiting friends, I have seen better options.
Excellent experience at this hotel for our 5-day spring break trip that placed us in the heart of Manhattan the week covid-19 was officially declared a pandemic (March 2020). We ended up leaving a day early out of an abundance of caution. The location of this hotel was excellent for the majority of our outings. And the customer service was fantastic. Special shout out to David, Justin & Reggie in the complimentary breakfast area. They went out of their way to get our 9-year-old daughter items from the buffet that had run out. We would definitely stay at this hotel again. Please note my review will be based on info that was available *prior* to the pandemic.
We had a great Spring Break Trip to NYC plannned and Covid virus thru a big wrench in our trip and we had to cut it way short but while we were there Dovid was so awesome. I really enjoyed taking to him. He went above and beyond for everyone in the breakfast area. Also Reggie and Jerry were amazing too and the front desk girls. I’m sad we didn’t get to stay longer but Dovid made my mornings better while we were there and for that I’m thankful
I live out of town in NJ but Hampton Inn North is always my go to hotel. My last visit was last April when I went to see The Cher Show on Broadway. The rooms are comfortable and guests are furnished with a free Breakfast buffet and free beverages in the lobby. The Breakfast buffet is always well stocked and replenished. The breakfast staff is very friendly and accommodating and often treat me like family since I frequent this Hampton Inn regularly. It is conveniently located to so many different places in NYC and is money well spent. Give them a try the next time that you are in NYC.
