I stayed here for 1 night with a group of girls in oct 2013 for a bachelorette party night out. Check in was a very friendly experience. The room was quite spacious for NYC and perfect for our needs. The location is central in NYC which made it easy for our whole group to get to from NJ and CT....

I was underwhelmed with this hotel throughout my stay at the property. Being a Hyatt Passport Member the check-in process was inconsistent with other check-ins. I was asked when booking through the Hyatt site if I would like an upgrade. With this being my wife's first trip to NYC I wanted to upgrade. This didn't happen despite calling ahead. The...

Stayed here for three night, my office is just round the corner. The rooms are a good size for Manhattan, though the bathroom is on the small size. So small in fact I could not wash my face in the hand basin, for a shave without banging my head on the shelf! The hotel does have a great gym, which...

I was impressed with the updating that the Hyatt has done over the years at this location. The hotel and rooms were what I would call "relaxed modern". The touches were modern but it was still a warm feeling. The room was spacious (especially for NY) and the shower can fit two people. The shower head was a little awkward...

The location of this hotel is perfect, we were only in NYC for two days so this was ideal as next door to Grand Central station; but you can easily walk to 5th Avenue and Times Square just make sure you have comfortable shoes. The rooms were clean and comfortable ; tea and coffee making facilities in the room would...

We enjoyed our stay here! Such a convenient location which was next to Grand Central Station, a few blocks from 5th Ave and less than 10-min walk from Times Square. The hotel itself looked newly renovated and has contemporary decor. Quite the grand lobby, with plenty of room to stretch out. Our room was very nice and clean. Upon check-in...

I just stayed at this hotel and I was not happy with the hotel at all. The staff is rude and not helpful. The hotel is located right in the middle of everything but this is the only nice thing about it. Do not trust the bell man who help with getting the taxi, because they set you up with...

The location of the the Grand Hyatt is perfect, as it is next to Central Station. 5th Avenue is not far and you can easily walk to Central Park and Times Square. The rooms are modern and the architecture inside the hotel very snazzy. Some of the staff aren't that friendly, but as they say, you can't win them all…Great...

Stayed here as part of a work related trip. At first glance the hotel looks quite grande, there was a plumbing issue with my room which was rectified and I even got an upgrade for the sleepless night. Very impersonal service - expected In a place like new York although the manager did ensure the upgraded room was a+ suite...

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
