After a lot of searching I came across the Blakely. I am certainly glad I did! From the moment I called to inquire about staying there, to when I left to return home, they were wonderful. The front desk staff, Kelly in particular, were just amazing. I left my Iphone cord at the conference, no problem, they charged my phone...

My family of 5 (kids ages 13, 11 and 9) stayed in a 2xQueen, 1xdaybed room. The room was just enough for us all. We brought a sound machine and all slept well. The day bed room does get some hall noise, but the bed room was quiet. The hotel was an easy walk to rock center, Central Park and...

Great hotel in an ideal location for first time visitors. 10 minute walk from Central Park and Times Square. 20 minute walk to the Empire State Building. Rooms are very spacious and clean. Breakfast offered is continental but lots of pastries, cereals and fruits/yogurt to chose from. Staff very friendly and would definitely stay again!

We just spent 3 nights at The Blakely, we thoroughly enjoyed it. The location is wonderful, close to subway. The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. It is a quaint hotel, the rooms were perfect, and comfy beds. We will stay there again, on our next trip to NYC.

This was not our first time at the Blakely and won't be the last. Its location is great for many different nearby attractions. Its rooms are cozy and comfortable. Its lobby is tiny, but cheerful, especially during the December holidays. We were upgraded to a lovely suite and treated to extra pillows. Skipped the included breakfast to have brunch at...

Positives: Location is great - near MOMA, Fifth Avenue, Central Park, etc. Staff are also great. Rooms are spacious (at least mine was) and the bathrooms are lovely. Negative: breakfast is very unhealthy and the decor of the rooms is somehow dated. All in all a good experience and I'd consider staying there again when in NY.

The location of the hotel was one major positive of the hotel - walking distance to Madison square garden and time square; however, the hotel needs much more upkeep. The rooms and bathrooms need to be renewed. We were on the 13th floor and noise was not an issue, Lobby is somewhat small and cramped. For the price paid, I...

We stayed at The Blakely on a Saturday night. Although we only live a little over an hour away, this was our first overnight stay in NYC. I came across a special on the Internet for a discounted room, which was $158 including taxes. We were pleasantly greeted and told that we had been upgraded to a king suite! Such...

The situation is excellent and the value very good. The accommodation is very comfortable and the service in the foyer courteous and helpful. The only reservation is the unattractive café where guests have breakfast but that would not prevent us staying there again.

Basic hotel although ideally located. Rooms were pretty good for the price, they are spacious with a nice bathroom, the bed is huge and very comfortable. The lobby was small but never crowded. Hotel is old and retains some character there is air-con in the room and free wifi (some larger hotels charge for this). Top tip: We didn't book...

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
