I got a triple room through Booking.com. It was on July 12th, fortunately only 1 night! There was a huge scaffolding on the facade, everithing covered. The room was very small, noisy and not so clean in my opinion. We tried to have breakfast the morning after, the queue for entering the room was very long and it took us... More

The rooms were kind of small but had everything you could need. It was cheap and the location was great. Breakfast was included and was pretty decent. We walked to many sights like central park, times square, empire state building and flatiron building. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Affordable. Located in a good location. Walking distance to Times Square and downtown. The hotel is a bit run down but it was clean and comfortable. Free breakfast and wifi. The wifi connection is very good. Coffee available all day. They validate parking.

The hotel is located in an excellent spot, walking distance from Flat Iron / Empire State / Times Square and surrounded by places to eat and shop. Staff is very friendly and inviting and breakfast is served (first time in my 6 visits to NY that this is included in the price). The buffet is not extensive but enough to... More

This rather understated little hotel offers excellent value for money, especially if you are a family or travelling as more than two people. The style of the hotel is quite European with coffee and tea facilities provided, ice downstairs (it was hot) and the decor. The beds were big and comfortable. The room was larger than expected. The only tiny... More

I booked a 2-full bed hotel room solely based on the pictures of the rooms on the hotel's website and Hotels.com's website. Being that I was traveling with another couple, we wanted a room spacious enough to accommodate 4 adults comfortable. All pictures on both websites showed rooms that were very spacious w/ nice decor. Upon entering the room, we... More

The hotel was well located and priced. There was trash under the bed that was not ours. Gross. The cleaning staff used the main elevator, and the other small elevator (which seemed to be the service elevator) was quite slow to get up and down.

Staying in Flatiron District

Neighborhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of the city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets - much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighborhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being home to a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
