Stayed for 3 nights in The Heritage Hotel. Very good value for money and a great location in Manhattan. Lots of restaurants, bars and interesting places nearby, and a flea market just across the road.

Stayed here on a trip with a family member. We had two double beds but to our surprise, our room was so small that the beds were basically pushed together. There was no space between them to get out of either bed. There was no closet in our room and no suitcase stand. There was no light aside from an...

I spent 4 nights with my boyfriend and family in this hotel last summer and honestly it was great. My mom was so excited to see a part of the Empire State from this room. We had a family suite. Everything is a little bit old but it's clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and the breakfast simple but...

We stayed at Heritage for 9 nights. I found it to be a very good hotel for a price we've paid. Really, really clean! Breakfast was not very good but I suppose its a matter of taste. Personally I've missed really coffee, but there was couple of Starbucks around so not a problem :) Very helpful staff, exceptional location (near...

Great staff, clean and comfortable stay with hot showers! Hotel and rooms were good, little worn but no complaints. Lots of great options for breakfast - eggs, sausages, waffles, pastries, juices, apples, bananas, cereal, toast... Special mention to the young guy at the front desk who was so helpful and friendly during our four night stay - I apologize for...

Clean, safe and convenient, the Heritage hotel has all the quality basics you need for a stay in NYC. Two blocks from the subway, as well as lots of things to see and do nearby. Accommodation in NYC has a tendency to her pricey, however, I found this great value for money.

Staying in Flatiron District

Neighborhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of the city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets - much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighborhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being home to a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
