The lobby staff was superb at making me feel welcome. The room was very clean and nicely renovated. It was so comfy and quiet that I slept for ten hours straight, and missed part of my meeting, but that's because the hotel did its job too well.

I did not choose this hotel. My vendor did. I am not accustomed to staying in $200 hotels in major cities. I do understand the size of the room but it is the most cramped I have ever stayed in. My issue is the lack of maintenance and cleanliness. The loose bathroom hardware, damaged vanity, blinds that do not work...

This is a lovely old hotel, perfectly located for Lincoln Center, Central Park, and the charms of the Upper West Side. Without exception, the staff members with whom we interacted were gracious, helpful, and cordial. After reading Trip Advisor reviews, I had requested an upper-floor room away from the street. We were on the ninth floor and heard very little...

What a great locale and with a fantastic market just around the corner. The 79th Street subway entrance is only a block away, too. Lovely presentation and super friendly staff. I highly recommend this hotel. In the past we stayed a bit closer to Columbia University, but this area was a bit more upscale and felt super safe.

The hotel is really well located. I requested early check in, but didn't receive an answer. At the hotel, I was curtly told that my room wouldn't be available until much later. The room I received was small and dark, with no drawer space or closet. The window looked out on a wall and the armchair in the room was...

No breakfast buffet, just a single croissant. Apart from that, everything was as expected. The location of the hotel is fine, close to a subway station, so it is very easy to get to/from the hotel to all the interesting sites in NYC.

9656urtn, Thank you for your review. I am glad to hear you enjoyed your stay and location. We do have a continental breakfast option for our hotel guests and it does consist of fresh made baked goods and coffee service. there are full service restaurants also within walking distance that offer a full sit down breakfast option and I would...

The rooms are comfortable, clean and quite. They are not large, but certainly not a closet. I would recommend this hotel to any experienced traveler. The location has lots of public transportation available within a couple of blocks, and there a lot of good places to eat within easy walking distance.

Arriving exhausted after a transatlantic flight, we were assigned a tiny room that could not even hold a night table, although we had booked a deluxe room. Front desk personnel was variable. Some greeted you with a smile, but others were rude and arrogant.

This is a very comfortable hotel on the Upper West side walking distance to Central Park and all kinds of amenities: restaurants, subway (77th and 72nd 1,2,3 line), and shopping. We really enjoyed our stay. If you have kids the Natural History museum is just a few blocks away.
