Nestled between Central Park and the Hudson River, the Upper West Side offers iconic architecture and a quiet, residential respite from the buzzing energy of downtown. Along Central Park West are many of the city’s most iconic apartment buildings, as well as the American Museum of Natural History, which has been welcoming visitors to its historic exhibit halls for over 140 years. Culture fans will love Lincoln Center, home to some of the world’s best opera, dance, film, and theater performances, all centrally located around a beautiful fountain. Spanning the entire length of the Upper West Side, Riverside Park is ideal for a long, leisurely stroll in a quiet green space.

For the last few years we've been trying smaller boutique hotels on the Upper West Side since it's closer to my son's campus when we visit him. This was our first visit to the Belleclaire and probably our last. Its location is quite good, I will give it that. And the staff was

Thank you 771michaelm771 for your review. I am disappointed to hear of your overall experience and I do apologize for any inconvenience. We are in the process of changing our entire heating and air conditioning system and this will be a great improvement. We are a landmark building so the process is a bit more complicated to complete but we are almost 1/2 way through the project! I am confident given another opportunity we will exceed your expectations and we look forward to this opportunity. Sincerely, Robert Holmes

This hotel is overrated and expensive for a 3 star - more like 1-2 star and even then I would not stay there unless the price is less than USD 100 per night. Very bad quality finishes in lobby and rooms. Horrible smells coming from bathroom and air-condition. No ambiance in

We think the Hotel Belleclaire is the top of the heap, given the relative room prices and the amazing neighborhood. The Upper West Side is quiet and tree-lined (compared to mid town) and far less noisy and commercial. Feels like a true village enclave, which it is. The
