The prices are attractive, but the rooms are very small, it's difficult to control the temperature of the room and street noise and other noises penetrate the walls. We had hammering wake us up this morning that shook our whole room. This was after a night of sleeping on top of the covers because the radiator in our room kept...

Traveled to NY for the first time with 4 family members and stayed in the 2 bedroom family suite. Price was great for NY. Both rooms were clean and pleasant with comfortable beds. STAFF WAS GREAT!! They make you feel like a true guest in EVERY way. Helpful and friendly at ALL times. Dave, the head Bellman, treated each guest...

The Belleclaire is clean and well-managed; the staff is consistently courteous, helpful, and genuinely nice! The neighborhood is wonderful, with lots of shops and good restaurants--Maison Kay, Nice Matin, and Red Farm (Chinese) being just a few that are within a block. This is my go-to hotel whenever I'm in New York.

Our family of 4 stayed the week prior to Christmas at the Hotel Belleclaire. Last year we came to NYC for the fist time and stayed at the Waldorf Astoria. Touristy and snobby front desk. This year we wanted a 'neighborhood" feel and tried the Hotel Belleclaire to experience the Upper West Side. We are SO GLAD we did!!! The...

The Hotel BelleClaire is our go to hotel when staying in New York. My wife and I recently stayed for 7 nights after the New Year's holiday. Once again the Hotel provided a clean, quiet (ask for a room in the back of the house!) respite from the hustle and bustle of New York City. The proximity to both express...

I previously wrote a review of this hotel and said how wonderful the entire staff was but that the room was quite small. On this visit, the hotel generously upgraded me to a Deluxe King room which was spacious and very comfortable. The radiator (yes, radiator, which added to the allure of this place) was a bit noisy when it...

{The {Belleclaire has a great location going for it. My deluxe queen room actually had a double bed, but the room was perfectly adequate nonetheless. Our first night in a second floor room proved to be very uncomfortable due to street noise. The following morning we asked for and were granted a room on a higher floor, which proved to...

A group of family members traveled from Buffalo to attend a christening in NYC. The Belleclaire was conveniently located to the church so we all stayed there. Hotel staff were very helpful. Other than typical street noise in NYC, the stay was very good.

I live in the neighborhood but sometimes need a hotel room. Belleclaire is my first choice for comfort and ease. It's an older hotel but updating all the time, so gets nicer each time I stay. Highly recommended!
