First of all – location is excellent. Subway in nearby (less than 5 minutes away), hotel is situated just below Central park near 7th Ave. Our room vas big (2 double beds), bathroom was adequate, but I miss socket for shaving machine. There was small refrigerator and big TV. Room was cleaned every day. What was not so excellent –...

There is a very large construction site next door to the hotel - the jack hammers & diggers start at 7am sharp & go until about 4pm every week day. this is a very large project which will go on for some time. the noise reverberates through the hotel & is unbearable. Other than this, which is a major annoyance,...

The location of this hotel was perfect, close to Times Square, Central Park , 5th Avenue and Broadway. What could be better. The room was small but adequate and was serviced daily with clean towels and linen. We stayed here in late July and it was very humid, the air conditioning worked but sounded like a traction engine running so...

My wife and myself needed to stay in New York City to be close to a family member in a local hospital. We live in the New York area so I am familiar with many of the hotels in the city. I was looking for a budget property located in a convenient area. The Park Savoy fit the bill. The...

The room was small compared to other hotels that I have stayed at, but for sleeping and resting it was right on. The bathroom was really really small!!!! I am considered to be obese and using the toilet was somewhat difficult, I tried to changed the water stream in the shower, but could not. Another hotel is being built on...

Although there was this buiding site next to the hotel (actually also right in front of our window) it was a super place to stay. Very close to Central Park and two subway stations. The noise coming from the construction site was loud, of course, but it did not matter that much because who is going to New York and...

Construction project immediately next door translates into a persistent noise problem which doesn't go away even if you move to the opposite side of the hotel (we tried this). Looks to be large project which will drag on for months. Hotel may have possibilities once the construction is completed but for now the noise makes the hotel a lousy choice....

This is one of the worst hotels I have ever been. The room was tiny. The noise from the caterpillar digger at the big construction site in the back yard of the hotel waked me up every morning about 7 o’clock .The view from my window hotel room was same big dusty construction site. There is neither blow dryer nor...

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
