We stayed 8 days in Salisbury Hotel and were more than happy with our choice. Great location at 57th st., everything you need can be found on the same block. First class Morton Williams Fresh Market just across the street, Dali market next door, several restaurants and two sub stations plus bus stops. Spacy apartment, dated but very clean, comfy... More

This was our second stay at the Salisbury. The rooms are huge (bigger than our old condo in Toronto), clean but dated. No high end finishings, and the bathrooms need an update, but given the size of the room (and the number of closets!), the location (two blocks from Central Park, about a 10 minute walk to Times Square) and... What's the one thing you need in a hotel after long haul flight, arriving late? Yes - a room, and enough beds for your party? Quite basic requirement for a hotel - don't you think??? Booked & paid in full 6 months before should mean this is a done deal. As Seinfeld says, "you can take the booking, you just... More

I have stayed here previously with my entire family but this time it was a couples trip with my hubs. We love this hotel! It is clean and quiet & very reasonably priced and the rooms are huge! We had a mini fridge and microwave, we stayed in a room where the bathroom had been updated which was a real... More

Rooms were big and fit 5 of us comfortably. Great location. Hotel could do with a big upgrade. Tap in kitchenette didn't work and our linen wasn't changed in the 8 nights we were there. Also no free wifi...we are in the 21st century.

My husband and me stayed here for 3 nights. It's a perfectly positioned hotel if your just visiting for a short break. Bed was comfy and the air con wasn't too loud. Yes there was road noise but it nyc for goodness sake, what would you expect. The reception team and bell boys were very pleasant and were always happy... More

This hotel served us well, a family of four for a long weekend in NYC. Room only had two double beds but we were not awake long enough to notice. Hotel is in good proximity to Central Park, Times Square, ... Subways are 1/2 block in either direction to quickly get anywhere in the city. There is a supermarket across... More

The room was a double shared and was large and well furnished. There were tea and coffee supplies and also other amenities like ironing boards etc. The hotel staff were very helpful and provided maps, recommendations etc and someone was always available to ask questions. The area is also located near subways, restaurants and 5th Avenue and Central Park. The... More

My friend, her mother, and I stayed at this hotel for a 3 night stay in the city. Compared to other NYC hotels, the room with two double beds was large and comfortable. It had ample room for storage (two closets), a roomy bathroom, a kitchenette with fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and sink. Plenty of mirrors for several people getting... More

Great location, roomy clean and comfortable. Wifi is extra and it is per device so we went without and turned out to be great for our family. As we didn't have data in the USA we used wifi at the coffee shop across the street if we needed to look something up, front desk was helpful showing what subways to... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
