We had loved walking into our 4 room room! A kitchenette, comfortable lounge, huge bedroom and bathroom. Four large wardrobes and a set of draws. It was a great retreat after sightseeing before heading out for the night life. It was a 15min walk to the heart of Times Square and we had an Italian restaurant next door and a... More

This hotel was our first experience of New York, and we were bitterly disappointed. It was old and tired . The decour all needed updating. The taps were falling off the wall in the bathroom, the door to the room looked as it had been broken into, the bathroom door wouldn't close and when it finally was shut, you needed... More

First time in New York for us, and this hotel was good. The location of this Hotel was by far the best thing about it, it was a 5 minute walk to Central Park or Times Square and there was a subway station within a minutes walk of the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, though the decor and... More

What a pleasant surprise! Not only was the location of this hotel excellent, the spacious room was amazing, especially in NYC. We were lucky enough to have a family suite with 2 double beds and a pullout sofa. The door opens to a large living area with a small dining table, mini fridge, microwave and bar sink. Our unit overlooked... More

It wasn't until we'd left to stay with relatives that I realised what a superb location this hotel was in... and a great price. Everything in Midtown was so easy to get to and within walking distance. The room was large, comfortable and felt a bit like a mini apartment but does need a bit of a facelift in the... More

Although this Hotel is in a great location the staff have no customer service skills and the Hotel is in dire need of updating. The room we had was very shabby and the bathroom had broken tiles and the wooden door wouldn't close as it was falling to bits.

We spent 3 nights here -- Two 12 year olds and dad. The hotel was great. Large rooms friendly staff great location close to subways. Lots of amenities nearby -- 24 hour market next door and a great little pizzeria beside the hotel. Across from Carnegie hall and the Russian tea room. Easy 2 block walk to Central Park. The... More

this hotel while older and a bit run down, was clean, had no bed bugs which is important when looking for hotels in NYC - the staff was great and the location could not be beat. it was one block off of Central Park, a short walk to Trump Tower, Rockefeller Plaza and 5th Ave and just 10 mins from... Don't let the lobby turn you off. This 100 year old building, now a hotel is a super 'bang for the buck' especially in NYC. You get an apartment, not a room. Ours had a small kitchen, dining area, living room, large bedroom with 2 queen beds, large bath and 4 closets. You don't hear a sound from above or... More

I took a chance with a less expensive hotel having read reviews suggesting a 4/5 rating. Immediately upon entering I knew I should have just paid double elsewhere. The main lobby is drab. The room so old, out dated, dingy, and disappointing. We tried to bath to make it to our river cruise and were delayed 45 mins due to... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
