We got a really good price for this hotel and having read reviews contacted the hotel prior to our visit and requested a room on a higher floor at the back. Once we checked in we got a room on the top floor at the back!! Ok there wasn't much of a view but we got a little kitchen area... More

We found the Salisbury Hotel through TA and it worked well. Rooms were not new but clean and worked for us. Location was perfect. Neighborhood restaurants were excellent and the best was the Food Market directly across the street - found everything from snacks to meals. I think it was perfect for our three day visit.

Spent a week here for a girls trip. The hotel is in a very convenient location within walking distance to almost everything we did. Hotel was helpful with supplying cots and extra towels when needed. Spacious rooms.

My friend and myself stayed at the Salisbury Hotel for three night. The position was wonderful close to Central Park and Fifth Ave, Rockerfeller Centre, Carnegie Hall and subways. The hotel its self needs a spruce up. It was clean although some of the fittings need replacing as well as some lamps didn't work. The box air conditioner was very... More

I found the Hotel Salisbury little changed. It is still an affordable choice in a pricey area. This hotel has good staff, and the rooms are kept neat and clean. So what if they are on the old fashioned side still, as I find this a plus and escape from hotels that have poor furniture and beds. Breakfast has risen to... More

We stayed 2 nights at the end of August 2016. Pros: Salisbury Hotel is at a convenient location. Short Walking distance to the metro station. Walk 12 minutes to the Time Square. Shopping nearby. The hotel front desk is very friendly. Gave us an upgrade without extra charge. We booked a double room, and was upgraded to a larger room... More

Pros: Great location; large rooms; comfortable temperature; great kitchenette; nice tv's; helpful staff Cons: Sofa, chairs, desk and bureaus are falling apart! Every piece needs to be replaced! Beyond shabby! Carpet is disgusting! Please, please remodel this hotel! It is 20 years past time!!!

This a nice hotel located just south of Central Park, 10 blocks or so north of Times Square and 1 & a half blocks east of 5th Avenue. The room was a good size, clean & tidy but the décor quite dated. I didn't pre book a cot/crib for my 2 year old (my fault) and had a bit of... More

I have stayed in this hotel three times now. The rooms are clean and spacious. Many of the rooms are suites with a separate living room and a kitchette. There are several walk in closets in each room. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They are also knowledgable about things like public transit. The hotel does not have complementary... This has to be the most under-rated hotel! I'm originally from N.J. and so appreciate this classic hotel. Yes, it's old and used to be apartments but it is "NOT RUN DOWN". When you walk in and have a kitchen table with small frig, microwave and coffee with sink and mirror which then looks into huge living room overlooking 57th... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
