In early July, for the first time in our more than 50 years of marriage, my husband and I visited Manhattan. We have travelled extensively in Europe and have even lived abroad twice. Our son reserved a suite for his family and another for us. I cannot rave enough. Our son and daughter-in-law had stayed at the Salisbury when they... More

This hotel is in a great location, I mean great for everything. I think it's a bit dated and needs a bit sf an update. I have been to New York a few times and feel hotels are a bit hit and miss but for an inexpensive hotel I would go here. If you are only staying for a few... More

Great location near Central Park and Carnegie hall and not far from Times Square, great service, rooms large and clean but no free wifi which isn't that important as your never in the hotel as so much to see and do I would recommend this hotel and would stay again

We stayed here for nearly 2 weeks earlier this month, when we arrived at the hotel we asked if they had wifi to which they replied yes but you have to pay and it is not cheap! This was a real let down for a hotel of this size even the comfort inn has free wifi! One evening we had... More

We had loved walking into our 4 room room! A kitchenette, comfortable lounge, huge bedroom and bathroom. Four large wardrobes and a set of draws. It was a great retreat after sightseeing before heading out for the night life. It was a 15min walk to the heart of Times Square and we had an Italian restaurant next door and a... More

This hotel was our first experience of New York, and we were bitterly disappointed. It was old and tired . The decour all needed updating. The taps were falling off the wall in the bathroom, the door to the room looked as it had been broken into, the bathroom door wouldn't close and when it finally was shut, you needed... More

First time in New York for us, and this hotel was good. The location of this Hotel was by far the best thing about it, it was a 5 minute walk to Central Park or Times Square and there was a subway station within a minutes walk of the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, though the decor and... More

What a pleasant surprise! Not only was the location of this hotel excellent, the spacious room was amazing, especially in NYC. We were lucky enough to have a family suite with 2 double beds and a pullout sofa. The door opens to a large living area with a small dining table, mini fridge, microwave and bar sink. Our unit overlooked... More

It wasn't until we'd left to stay with relatives that I realised what a superb location this hotel was in... and a great price. Everything in Midtown was so easy to get to and within walking distance. The room was large, comfortable and felt a bit like a mini apartment but does need a bit of a facelift in the... More

Although this Hotel is in a great location the staff have no customer service skills and the Hotel is in dire need of updating. The room we had was very shabby and the bathroom had broken tiles and the wooden door wouldn't close as it was falling to bits.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
