Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

My son booked a room online at this hotel and gets down to NYC and they have cancelled the room and with no explanation. Tried to call for an explanation and the phone rings busy. Multiple call were made and all rang busy! What kind of hotel has a phone that rings busy for hours? He had to scramble for a new hotel and pay more for the room! Awful, Awful, Awful !!!!!!! Better get his money back or there will be hell to pay!!!!!!! You think you have your trip all planned and they pull this crap!!! Do not use this hotel!!!!!

The place was squeezed within some very high end hotels ($800//night!) But the price was reasonable. The room was very large and has mini fridge, micro wave, coffee maker. The carpet and furniture was VERY dated and needs a redo, but the it was a nice place. Hotel staff polite. Very close to central park and walkable to times square.

Probably one of the best values and locations in New York City. Rooms were dated but very clean, beds comfortable, and the price for New York City was outstanding. Right cross from Carnegie Hall and near the metro and many eating places. Two blocks from Central Park.

Being at 57 and 7 is great but Salisbury has seen better days. The property could use an urgent refurbishment, sound prof windows and even the reception desk should be more presentatble. Staff was very friendly and attentious.

We stayed here during our recent stay in Manhattan, it's on 57th between 6th and 7th so it's just below Central Park and in a good location for Broadway theaters, the Lincoln Center, the Museums. There are 3 subway stops on 6th, 7th, and 8th and 57th to take you anywhere in the city. We booked the place because of the room size too, king bed and plenty of room and a good size bathroom too. It was quiet and dark at night for sleeping. It met our needs for an 8 night stay. It's older but well maintained for a decent price. We did not have a car in the city.
