It is the Holiday Inn, so while it is not the most luxurious, it is a safe bet. The location was great. It is at 9th with MANY MANY restaurant's. It is also only five minutes from Central Park. Close to subway stops. Walkable to Times Square, etc. Very safe feeling. The room was large for a NYC hotel. Clean....

After a frustrating experience on the subway it was a relief to get to the hotel. A quick check in service and we were off to our room. It was spacious, very clean and we were up very high which gave a lovely view of the city. We had a queen sized bed with all the amenities and we got...

This was not my first choice of hotel on my recent visit to New York, it did turn out to be a bit of a surprise. The location is very good near the Theatre and Hells Kitchen District, also 3 blocks away from Central Park and 10 to 15 mins walk from Times Square. From the outside the building looks...

Stayed at the Holiday Inn and found that the room was small and there was constant noise in the corridors. The bathroom was very small and the room was not fully cleaned, found things under beds that had been left. We had stayed in hotels in LA and San Francisco and this hotel was disappointing. The air conditioner leaked and...

Very good location near Central Park. They have begun some renovations......and it needs it. Nothing bad, but it just feels well worn. The AC/Heater unit in my room sounded like a jumbo jet. A general face lift will help.

This was our first visit to NYC, and we expected more for the price. As other reviewers have stated, the room was a good size, the beds were comfortable, and the area was quiet. Our room, however, wasn't very clean. We moved the nightstand and bed to find an outlet and discovered LOTS of dirt and a few used tissues....

We stayed in a couple of double/double rooms in April and were there for 12 days. In spite of asking for quiet rooms we were given ones by lifts which ding-ed all the time and people used the area as a meet and greet. Constant noise with door banging (they have no softly, softly door returns) and you could hear...

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
