We stayed at the Holiday Inn for three nights while in New York and, overall, it was okay. The hotel was at a very convenient location, allowing us to walk just a couple blocks to the nearest subway and bus which made travelling around New York a lot easier. It allowed easy access to Times Square without having to deal...

We stayed here for a Yankee game and it worked out super. Close to the subway, excellent location and the staff were wonderful. Rooms were large and clean although I agree that some updating is required. The rooftop pool looked inviting but there was absolutely no room. I know you can't prevent it, but many of the vacant lounge chairs...

Good location, but room and amenities are somewhat dated. In their defense they are remodeling through 2013. The staff was very nice. The location is within easy walking distance of Central Park, Times Square, or Rockerfeller plaza.

We couldn't check in early but we were able to store our luggage in the room behind the front desk for free while we walked around the city for a few hours before check in. The front desk workers were friendly and helpful as well were the bellmen. The room was clean and the beds looked nice. We had a...

Cheap and excellent position for subways, near to central park and Lincoln center. Very large and conformable rooms but no fridge, kind personnel. Good choiche for visiting town, swimming pool on the roof.

I was staying at this particular location because it was close to a class I had to take in Time Square. I had a very bad experience when letting my mother [who was sharing the room with me] use their pool facilities. While I was at my class my mother went to the pool area to relax. She was not...

Stayed here in August 2007 with my Mum and Dad. Hotel was in a great location just a short walk from times square. Only stayed three nights and can't comment on breakfast as we ate at a diner just along the road. Also didn't realise there was a pool on the roof-which we couldn't have used anyway as it was...

Reasonably priced hotel near central park and a short walk from Times Square. It is currently in the process of being re-furbished and should be completed shortly. The rooms are a little on the small side but lets face it, you're in New York and will only be spending time in the bedroom sleeping. Public areas are clean and the...

Our first visit to nyc and the location seemed to be pretty much on the money. The hotel back home would be fairly expensive but this was the big apple and in comparison seemed to be pretty reasonable. Room was big but could do with a makeover.. Rooftop pool was a luxury in this price range but in my opinion...

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
